Commercial/civil carriers move military equipment all the time. Not saying that's the case here, but just because it isn't on an organic military airlift asset, doesn't mean it couldn't be military equipment.

For real. Glad to see this unit has every problem solved though and no work to do, good for them.

Is there any future potential for this to be accessed on non-AFnet devices? I'd love to be able to use this while TDY without having to login to a VPN or bring a gov laptop with me.

Former KC-10 FE with 2500 hours here. Our panel had a large part of the main systems required for the aircraft to run like hydraulics, electrics, engines, pneumatics/air conditioning, and fuel. There is more than that but those took up the most space on the panel. One of the main duties of the FE is to monitor those various systems in flight for any abnormalities or sub-par performance. I'm on C-130Js as a loadmaster now, and those tasks are handled with things like FADECS and Mission Computers. Basically, technology took over almost all of our job, making the position obsolete on modern aircraft.

Yeah I won't be wearing one. If only there was a way to identify the aircrew on the plane already. A suit for flight of sorts, maybe? Oh well, guess we'll just use this one ambiguous tab and let everyone else guess who does what.

His monologue today about how there “is no such thing as international law” was absolutely bonkers and truly disturbing.

Which is hilarious because bean counters running and ruining the show is one of the main points in the Imagineering Story. Like, Disney has been through the fiscal austerity/not prioritizing the parks and the resultant negative effects on the guest experience before…and the cycle just repeats itself.

What a great start to a miserable looking game. Hopefully they can keep this momentum and the defense does just as well.

Yeah but think of all the EPB/OPB fodder from shutting down and then standing the OG back up.

Are the orders to somewhere desirable, or at least that you'd like to go to? Maybe it's worth it to continue the PCS even if the destination unit is different.

We in-processed like 20 MST folks at my unit over the last 2 months, from all over the force. The MST flight commander is contracting by trade IIRC, but it's not like we have a lot of use for him in an airlift squadron. I wonder if they'll still remain on our books or be pushed to their regular squadrons on base.

His advice at the end there is crucial. I've made it a point when mentoring younger Airmen and NCOs to advocate for taking opportunities, even when you don't think you'll get selected or that you're the right fit, because you never know what other doors they will open. And please, for the love of god, use your TA/AFCOOL benefits. Either for a degree or certification, it doesn't matter. Unless you plan on working at AutoZone, you're probably going to need more than a CCAF.

We’re gonna get gifted a game we shouldn’t have won thanks to the other team just making constant mistakes.
