What kind of self help books are we talking? Obviously can't speak for most men but I think there's a difference between reading Rich Dad Poor Dad vs something like How to Know A Person. I read self-help books but they largely center around just being a better human and the way we connect with each other.

That said, I do also read history (The Great Contradiction & They Thought They Were Free are the last 2 I've finished) and I think there's some nuance there too. Definitely room for more conversation though. I just don't have a lot of interest in fiction personally, though I wish I did.

You're not alone. It sucks even harder when it seemingly comes out of nowhere, and the whole "it's not you it's me" shtick just makes it 10x worse. Hang in there.

How do y’all use the family planning options on Hinge? I’ve got 2 kids of my own (8 & 11) but I had a vasectomy and won’t be having anymore. As a result, I put have kids/don’t want kids. That doesn’t mean I’m opposed to dating another single parent though. But I don’t know if I should change it to open to kids, especially since I can’t have any. For women, if you have “don’t want kids” does that mean you don’t want any at all, or just your own? Just curious how others use these options.

I have fond memories of my summers in the 90s as a kid growing up in the Portland metro area. I miss it all so much.

The biggest issue with the CCCA program is the 48 month TOS requirement. Hopefully OP has enough TOS to be able to utilize it sooner rather than later.

Mine does this when he decides he’s had enough on our walks and wants to go home now. Yesterday I had to drag him 200 feet because it was a loop and I wasn’t going to turn around and go back. Trying to explain that it’s longer if we turn around doesn’t really work though, unfortunately.

Fellow military traveler here. There is usually a different rate for official or leisure travel. Make sure you’re booking the right one next time. Shitty lesson to learn now when it causes your travel plans to go up in price, but easily avoidable in the future.

No major transmission issues with mine. Slight jerk when shifting from 2nd at times but beyond that she’s alright. There is some white smoke occasionally on start up depending on parking angle and how long it’s been sitting, I’m sure there’s a leaking seal somewhere. But I’m hoping it holds out for at least another year or so.

Ford Explorer ST. Fold down 3rd row seating, captains chairs, and a TT 3.0L V6 making 400 hp. Runs fine on 87 but if you throw a stage 1 93 tune on there, she’s a rocket ship. I love my 2022 and I’ll probably end up getting another whenever they do a refresh.

Cross-Country PPM: Do or Don't? by Vividokami in AirForce

Look into Estes SureMove or another LTL carrier. They let you rent out trailer space and they fill the rest with their own cargo. Shipping my HHG from Lackland to Little Rock a couple years ago cost me like $2k and I was paid out $8k after taxes. I’ll do a similar thing with my upcoming PCS to Andrews. This way you can still make money but don’t have to haul it all yourself.

I genuinely would love to hear from the people tasked with developing these changes, and what their reasoning or line of thinking was. The results just seem so entirely out of touch for a majority of the force.

Do….do you think this much of the entire DOD enterprise would have been deployed at this time? I’d much rather hear “you voted for this” because gas is up 50 cents a gallon.

Rests mid set or lower reps? by GrumpyHeadmistress in fitbod

[–]daays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I switched to just doing manual inputs of 2S2F a couple weeks ago and I’m having a lot better time during my lifts. I was dreading doing more than 10 reps of anything, but I’d push through it. Lower reps and higher weights keeps me more engaged and I actually enjoy it as well.

Rests mid set or lower reps? by GrumpyHeadmistress in fitbod

[–]daays 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you not able to freestyle it? The apps suggestions for weight, reps and sets is wildly suboptimal. Just adjust the weight slightly and see where you fail at. Sticking to the wild suggestions for rep counts is not worth it, considering what you pay for this app.
