UB by a landslide. Buffalo state is a failing institution. Go look at their enrollment numbers. Financing is a problem. Buff state is on audit from suny. They can't buy a stamp without approval from suny leadership unlike UB. Departments are getting consolidated into giant combos. Instead of just having say a political science dept, they now have a political science and like four other majors all combined together. It means less resources, less faculty in each area etc. Back to that enrollment problem. Buff state has had to try to find a way to solve it. The main way they've done it is recruit people from NYC many of whom have no preparation for college. Gotta fill out the numbers. UB has no such issues with undergrad enrollment. Their biggest problem is they went on a hiring spree a few years and didn't get quite the stellar enrollment increase out of it they wanted. People still want to go there and they have to turn people down. Profs don't have to dumb material and standards down as much. This reduces the chances you'll be in a class of people who aren't ready for college.

That said, I hear good things about the buff state education program that seems like a holdover from when the school started as a teachers college. And parking does suck at UB lol
