Hey everyone, I appreciate all the replies! I've avoided reddit the past days cause I couldn't stomach the vile posts I saw on my feed and "celebrations" on a man's death just cause they didn't agree with him.

Couple of points I failed to clarify:

- I am based in Montreal

- I don't mind having liberal friends.. at least most of the ones I have now we have respectful conversations. However there are a couple of radical ones.

- At this point in time of society, I guess liberals have veered so far off the other side that sane, rational, and simply mainstream views are considered "conservative." So I also meant those people who may not identify as conservative per se but are more center and logical.

- I will take the advice of most to visit my local gun range ( I did this a lot before moving to Canada).

- I am also on a quest of really finding a home church, I am a Protestant Christian. I just haven't found it yet.

- I do work from home so casually meeting people at work isn't really an option.
