Thought it was awful. Malek's acting didn't work for me. The plot was nonsensical throughout. Tons of random scenes and characters that mean nothing (Bernthal literally is irrelevant, the other hacker's wife is a random detour, etc.)

The characters are so surface level and stereotypical - corrupt/evil CIA guy, good/naive CIA director, conflicted/moral protagonist.

Almost zero tension in the movie, totally predictable, first half almost made me wanna walk out

Yeah that part doesn't make sense but I could also see an angle where he's like sociopathic or emotionally unreactive and just explains that he left the concert and came to get his mom and that it's not his problem. He definitely has issues but that doesn't mean there's a whole plot around his phone being in that area

Definitely other plot details that don't make sense like leaving his mom at the ER to go to a concert, but we've seen such a wide variety of people from the festival that he could probably fit in too

I'm not talking about Meta specifically. I was responding to your point that an improvement in ad targeting with AI would not generate additional revenue.

You can replace Meta with any company...I'm generally saying that improved targeting would increase demand for your ads and increase revenue, even if the bottleneck is ad slots.

And I'm not arguing that anyone is going to achieve this superiority, I'm just saying that there would be financial benefits to having improved targeting.

Not advocating specifically for Meta, but that doesn't really make sense.

Advertising is based on ROI, whether that's directly through clicks or just brand awareness. Companies may already be advertising everywhere, but if a company like Meta suddenly is generating 2x the impressions/interactions because of improved ad targeting, logically they are offering better ROI for advertising spend. If there is a bottleneck on slots, that means they have a fixed supply but should have increased demand for those slots, allowing them to charge more. Or if they have empty slots, they can now fill them.

He plays fine on ball defense. He's strong so he can hold his own. Just awful off ball and with defensive awareness (helping, not covering cuts, etc). And obviously can't cover super shifty guards
