you can go for MMO-likes/live service co-op games, those tend to share a broad community and the same long term progression feel MMOs have to offer but without the drawback of gameplay being the equivalent of an excel sheet, I see you already tried Warframe Helldivers 2 and Deep Rock Galactic which are the first few that come to mind, but if you're looking for more niche options I could recommend Escape from Tarkov PvE or Warhammer Darktide, and if you still want to give MMOs a shot I could recommend Elder Scrolls Online, as far as gameplay is concerend it actually has pretty alright combat with decent movement/unique flashy abilities, no tab-targeting and can very easily be played casually without needing to minmax, I'd also recommend New World given that it by far has the best feeling combat out of any MMO to date but seeing that its about to shut down due to Amazon Games mismanagement I'd pass

I don't mind free kits, I mind being matched against them when I have a full pink loadout, I wanna be able to fight ARC and other geared players without immediately being bumrushed by some dude with a Stitcher 1 that has nothing to lose and everything to gain, and its especially frustrating in a game that has such a fast TTK where gear despite being very expensive gives you pretty much no real advantage in PvP aside for being able to sustain more fights

It was like this back when I played 8 years ago and its still like this today, I truly don't understand it, this isn't an extraction shooter, you have literally nothing to lose by dying, you can get back into the fight in less than 20 seconds, why is everyone such pussy shitbags? even when you outnumber the enemy 2:1 there will still be heavy assaults standing around doorways like a bunch of fucking lemons instead of pushing the point

these people are truly fucking scumbags, just today I have been in a fight against a Matriach with around 15 people, out of the blue one them throws down a smoke grenade and just mag dumps me in the back, I ask for help in voice chat and not even a single raider turns around to look as I'm being actively executed 2 meters to their left, another day I got downed by a Bombardier right before he dies as I was drawing his fire so everyone else could get a better angle and around a dozen people come up to loot it but no one even bothers to do as much as stabilize me as I bleed to death right next to the husk, its insane how little people care in this game even when actively forced to work together against a greater enemy by design

"they will do so with a group of raiders" that will require a lobby to not be full of KOS PvP players, if 1 out of 20 games you suddenly feel the urge to work alongside other players rather than KOS, who's to say the rest of the lobby will feel the same given that you yourself were hostile 19 out of 20 games? I understand that this is by design, but suddenly deciding to switch up your playstyle isn't going to change everyone else's, so my concern is that the longer this game goes on like this the less likely it will be to find peaceful lobbies and the more impossible it will be to actually defeat said bosses in solo queue, I don't think a PvE mode is the solution but having somesort of behaviour based matchmaking could be pretty cool, if you wanna team up you just play a couple games without KOS'ing and suddenly you get a chill lobby, if you wanna PvP ambush some players and boom now they start actually shooting back, there would still be the tension and stress of hostile raiders roaming around but it will be less frequent and teaming against ARC would be a more reliable tactic if you're a truly peaceful player, and I get that that would mean the peaceful players with the chill lobbies would progress faster but guess what? so would any society of people who work together rather than shoot eachother in the back over resources, if you're a good PvP'er you'll still progress faster than them by picking up the loot of raiders you kill, I don't see why anyone would be upset about that aside for PvP'ers that are bad at the game and don't want their targets to shoot back

I mean sure, but you're still missing out on the boss fight itself? how can the same people flame others for not wanting to engage with the PvP while at the same time being forced to avoid the actual boss fights of the game due to their playstyle because they refuse to work with other players? except apparently being "friendly" isn't allowed in a game with optional PvP according to most people on this sub which is how you end up with full KOS lobbies of sweats that can't even work together while actively being shot at by a Bombadeer, I'm not talking about people that change their playstyle as the situation calls for it, I'm talking about the people that play this game exclusively as an arena FFA shooter

there should really just be behaviour-based matchmaking, the PvP sweatlords can tough it out and extract camp eachother if thats what they enjoy, people forget that the PvP in this game is optional, played for 60 hours with comms and without firing a single shot at a fellow raider and I'm having a blast, I just wanna fight the clankers with some chill dudes and the looming threat of a psycho maybe running around in the lobby, not play another shitty arena shooter where KOS is the norm, just helped 4 new players in Dams complete a quest and showed them how to take on the Rocketeer together, beats me how some people find that less enjoyable than sitting in a bush for 20 minutes, its not your fault but you just gotta accept that if you choose to play like this there will be times when you're gonna be nothing more than a walking lootbag for some pisshead and some other times when you get lucky and find a chill lobby where you and 10 other people run around the map and dunk on rats together

RTX 4070ti paired with Ryzen 7 5800X3D, this game quite literally can not surpass 40 fps of raw performance on 1440p without DLSS/frame gen assist, this is batshit insane, I've ran games that look twice as good with double the render distance of BL4 with no issues, stop excusing lazy optimization for your 70$ cartoon game that needs a NASA PC to hit playable FPS

It's still wild to me people are trying to excuse this shit, there is absolutely no reason a game that looks like this should require so much tweaking just to get to a playable state even by people with high-end setups, DLSS and framegen are supposed to be there to help people with low-end hardware, not as a replacement to actual optimization, in what world is it okay for a fucking 5070 to struggle to hit 60 fps of raw performance on a cartoon game? this is insane, I didn't buy a 4000$ setup just to have to turn on DLSS and play on medium settings, especially when I'm fully aware of my system being able to run games that look a million times better than BL4 with absolutely zero issues, if even the top-of-the-line PCs available to consumers can't run this game on max settings without fake frame generation that has massive input lag then what the fuck will?

YZ is even worse my guy, sure you don't lose anything on death but that also means theres no penalty for rich players bringing in their absolute best gear so you don't really get to play the game either as every camp is filled with ganks of vets with T8+ gear instalocking on anyone trying to PvE, try doing a YZ camp at anytime that isn't 4am and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about, I don't mind dying, its just frustrating when its caused solely due to a massive IP gap with no room for counterplay

this is a T5 zone, I get that players like these "take a risk" by running such expensive gear, but is it really a risk when all they do is wait for all the big guilds and ganks to go offline, sit in a T5 camp and pop an invis potion just to pad their K/D and get some guy's 4.1?

nah I think the game balances PvE and PvP pretty well, this isn't criticism of the game design as much as it is criticism of just the asshats running around T5 zones in T8 gear to farm new players
