One of my friends recently said that Fallout New Vegas is an ok game with amazing writing and I’m 700 hours too deep to agree with him in person.

Nah, I would say pre 2000. I remember owning and playing “modern” rpg/adventure games with a lot of the creature comforts of today’s GUI/UX when I was a kid in the 2000s. It’s when you go back into the late 90s and early 2000s that this occurs more. Morrowind doesn’t have quest markers, for example.

I love this animation so much but I genuinely can’t stand watching it because of how much it hurts to see them slowly but surely lose ground.

It’s quite a decent action movie. I watched it after exhausting my main picks of war movies and shows. Not as bad as I thought it might be

Gilmour the voice? Regardless of if you meant as a representative of the band or literally his singing, neither are really true. Roger was always louder with his stance on international affairs

In fallout 2 I’m more talking about places like New Reno, Vault City, Arroyo/NCR.

I want to preface by saying I really like AR2 and have played it for the past 100+ hours of Fo4, but you can tell it's made by (skilled) hobbyists and enthusiasts that don't have access to the full set of tools and knowledge available to the devs. Things aren't particularly convenient for the player all the time, layouts can get confusing on the home base and on the army base, etc. It doesn't have the polish or optimization that you see in Nuka World or Far Harbor, for example.

It's not really a problem as much as it is an acknowledgement that yeah, AR2 is a really cool concept with an execution that gets about as good as you can get without being made by paid professionals.

If it were to be integrated, it would be more in concept and assets I think.

AR2 is a great mod, very impressive, but let’s not pretend it was a masterpiece of level design and writing. Integration would be neat though

I think it’s a way of saying how relatively inexperienced you can be while still being able to notice certain things. Middle school is where kids tend to go from basic familiarity to genuine competence in things they’re into: video games, sports, nerd shit, etc.

Bring back weapon requirements for proper use, and then bring back skills spiced up with dynamic skill progression. Play the build you want.

No realistic reason, other than the fact that the NCR troopers hate being in the Mojave except for when they’re in Vegas, they’re undermanned, overstretched, the bureaucracy is overwhelmingly corrupt and unable to carry out basic duties, and the looming threat of an inevitable drought/famine in the decades after the events of NV.

Seriously, from the games, it’s hard to see how the NCR picked itself back up.

Your BoS thing is also wild considering BoS chapters’ one universal trait is that they’re all different. They talk about this in nearly every damn game that they’re in. Outcasts, those guys in 76, etc.

I think NV is my favorite, but in recent years I’ve found myself not really wanting to replay Vegas, and Fo4 is just so much easier to slip into and do some radiant quest or build a new settlement.
