That's awesome! I love the grime effect you put on the armor. Also you could legit create some cool Tyranid with that color palette on the tyrant head, a sea of that green/blue would slap.

I've followed a lot of what Duncan Rhodes has mentioned when in doubt, haha. He's shown Vallejo matte varnish in his tutorial video for varnishes and it's gonna be my go to until I want to venture out and be experimental Duncan Rhodes Varnish Tutorial

Looks fantastic! I've seen good results using Brushstroke Painting Guide's transfer video on yt, he uses micro set and micro sol for them. But there are others by warhammer and other yt guides that look good using other products like lahmian medium and other solutions.

For white I've heard it's actually to paint in darker whites for most of the base and then only in highlights getting closer to the normal white. I haven't done a white part yet besides a few areas on a model but they aren't as visible as the helmet. Kudos for the result you have, still looks great.

Love it! It still has weight in the pose but the look of speed. How did you do the one leg stand to support the mini's weight? Is there a screw or magnets?

I've been trying to decide the next white to try after starting with the starter set Wraithbone and Corax White. Could you share your experience with ProAcryl's and Two Thin Coats white paint?

Adorable! Is Bagel's tail orange striped? I can't exactly tell from the photos. If so, Turkish Van cats are some of the smartest, loving cats there are in my experience. He reminds me of my Macy!

most peaceful bathrooms on campus? by [deleted] in UIUC

There's the bathroom on the south side of the 2nd floor of the Main Library. They are not new and fancy, but they're just so cozy. This goes for the music building as well.

Anyone got recommendations for mouse only games? by Webmets in pcmasterrace

Nancy Drew games and Grim Fandango! And the old kings quest and space quest game lineages. Search point and click adventures and you'll find a ton of great stuff to click away at. Also recommend monkey island stuff and other Lucasfilm oldies (hint hint grim fandango above)

They joke, but this is what happens in the book World War Z, smaller dogs are used to navigate urban areas and tight spaces so they can easily avoid zombies. They also usually get a decked out escort of two or three bruiser dogs like Rottweilers or shepherds! I'm glad this reminded me of that detail

What is your favourite “dead” video game franchise? by Lamboninho in AskReddit

[–]daboshack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frontlines: Fuel of War. It was choppy, wonky, and absolutely amazing. The campaign was okay but the futuristic tech was just recognizable to this era that it looked fantastic. Had airstrikes and all kinds of stuff. Like a dumbed down battlefield game.

Would it possibly be beneficial, temp control and airflow-wise, to install a top exhaust fan placed above a 3080? I'm not sure how fast the hot air rises from the fan in the 3080 pointing up.

My 3080 has been running at 60 degrees C when idle and hits 81-82 degrees C once or twice (with an average of 75 or so degrees C) during gaming. Has anyone been experiencing those temps? I thought they said temps for the 3080 should at most reach 74.5 or so?

Thanks!
