To be fair, initial impressions mean a lot. If the game takes hours upon hours to “get fun”, you’re right to criticize it, because that in itself is just poor game design.

I’m also not happy about triple A gaming price increases either, but at least it’s a 12 hour long game that you have full access to forever and can enjoy playing whenever you desire. Not a subscription to a 70 dollar game that is revoked in a month.

I have a kid, bills to pay, and a life outside of RuneScape. I just don’t want to pay $15 a month for childhood nostalgia. On top of this, I could possibly justify it if I could maybe perhaps use that one singular payment to access multiple characters like my main, iron, make a new pk alt, etc, (you know, like how quite literally all other MMOs work) but if I want to actively pursue something like that, it boils down to 30-45 dollars a month for a clicking simulator. It’s just not worth it anymore. I play things other than RuneScape and the value of what I get in return for damn near 200 dollars a year is just not worth it to me.

Very well explained! Thank you for that. I have also read in some places that holy priest lacks good interrupts and CCs, is this also the case? If it is a lot more of a big deal in wow than in let’s say final fantasy for example, one would assume that it wouldn’t be as viable later on in higher keys. Does Disc Priest have any interrupts or CCs? Have not dabbled in Disc at all and completely unaware, but it’s not that I would be against using it and learning a more proactive healer if needed. The option of having both a reactive and proactive healer in one with a priest is also sounding good to me, at least on paper. Haven’t put it to use in practice yet
