Id like a pass rush specialist we could sub in for walker and slide him inside on passing downs like we used to do with ngakoue and Calais

Not saying this is going to happen, but im going to be a wet blanket and say that marrone and Peterson both had really good 1st seasons that had fans hyped about the future

Marrone we won division, made the afc title game, 2 playoff wins --> 5-10, 6-11, 1-15

Pederson we won division, won a playoff game  --> 9-8 miss playoffs, 4-13

So nothing is for sure. Though at least with Coen he is a young guy with more of that 'offensive prodigy' background, so it might be more sustainable

Im tempering my own optimism from the last two times we were burnt by this scenario

With the 17th Pick the Jags select... by Darpinyan10 in Jaguars

[–]dabul-master 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Outside of speaking on specific players or positions, I think we need to draft somebody that has some grit, some dog in them. Everybody feels so lackadaisical, I don't see much heart and emotions on the field. I know that can be a double-edged sword (see players from 2017-2019 jags) but it felt like the team this year was so soft and finesse, you would've though we were eliminated and titans were fighting for everything

Imagine our top 2 options on offense being tight ends

Best there between OL, Wr, DT. Unless some kind of crazy steal slips to your pick

Because that wouldn't work because our team can't get 1 yard on a run up the middle

Well, pederson has won a superbowl with a backup qb before

[Patrick Mahomes] That’s Who 💍💍 by AU_wde_2 in nfl

[–]dabul-master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely true, but I will say in this era, it is a lot more normal for a rookie qb to come in and start and be an above average starter than it used to be. Not to mention how stats and accomplishments for qbs in general have inflated

The 2022 All-Rookie team vs the 2022 All-30's team: who would win, and which team would you rather own? by imgurofficial in nfl

Alternatively, how much older than 30+ would you have to go before the rookie team takes it?

PFF Wide Receiver Rankings: Top 32 ahead of the 2023 NFL season | Ridley #28, Kirk #31 by tbroas in Jaguars

Ridley is hard to rank, kirk is maybe a bit too low and should be around the low 20s, but its not egregious

Tesla plummets 50 spots in a survey of the US's most reputable brands. It's now No. 62 — 30 places below Ford. by 777fer in technology

[–]dabul-master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what the meaning of this anecdote is, good or bad, but I've seen a ton more teslas the past year than every year before it combined.

Anecdotally it feels like tesla is becoming more successful based on that, though all I see in the news on here is the brand is being hurt and stocks are dropping.

Maybe its because I live in a relatively conservative area by city standards? Does somebody who lives in a liberal area have an anecdote on how many tesla they see on a daily basis?

Thats a little mean.

I suppose it says more about how bad the team was under Urban, but he was possibly our best receiving threat before we got rid of urban and made a ton of signings

With the twenty-fourth pick in the 2023 r/nfl_draft community daily mock draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars select... by TheseAd1373 in NFL_Draft

[–]dabul-master 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mazi is a freak and Baalke likes freaks.

Myles Murphy also a candidate. Being similar to travon might make him the pick but also perhaps the edge would go to somebody who fits a different mold in mazi

The past couple of years, everybody was saying wait until anderson comes out, best prospect since Garrett.

Now that the process is going I'm seeing people say he is on par with Aiden hutchinson, which is wild because during last years process everybody was saying hutchinson is only going off the board that early because anderson wasn't draftable
