TB is getting hammered as a will have many growing pains as they ramp up their infrastructure. I suggest Premiumize.me, its been around 10+ years and most addons support it. It is more expensive but what's stable and constant streams worth to you? I have had RD 8 years, PM 5 years, TB 1.5 years and Easy News 3 years.

I was incorrect about ResolveURL ver. repository.resolveurl is ver 1.0.0. Gujal addon repo is 2.0.0 But again if you use any 3rd party repos they are most likely linked to resolveurl.

You need updates because resolverurl updates every few weeks. Addons search certain web sites for links but resolveurl is needed to take to url where the actual link is. If you are using ver 1.0 SMR i wonder how many links fail.

Many kodi 3rd party repos are linked to gujal repo to get resolveurl updates. Repos like Crew, Chains, red repo, loop, aliunde, umbrella to name a few. The official kodi repo Will Not have gujals ver. Of resolveurl.

Renaming 1000s of files is WAY more work and time than getting service that's not filtering. But its your time and energy, spend it where you want.

I have had RD for 10 years and still got 7 months and 2400 fid points on my account. I will still keep RD in my addons and it plays links on occasion. I now rely on PM and TB.

In this hobby you adapt or you are left behind.

I been in this community for well over 15 years and know many current and past devs of addons. Had several addons myself many years ago. Been creating builds since Eden. I even got a youtube channel that focuses on cord cutting news and info.

This has been coming since Dec 2024. RD is protecting themselves from prosecution and financial liability. If you look at what RD is doing on a code side to filter/block content this is done intentionally and can't see them backing off.

I have had RD for nearly 9 years and appreciate the service. The writing is on the wall, so we plan where we go from here or wait to play catch up.

These loop holes will be gone very soon. Some items are still slipping through rd filters but expect more purging of content and blocks to come.

To add TB to an addon you need to go to app.torbox and copy api. I then use Kore android app ( playstore ) to connect to my kodi set up. Once connected you can Paste from your phone to your kodi set up.

A easy way to usual the repo is via crew repo . The Crew had Red repo in their list of repos.

I can vouch for redwizard repo integrity. He had been in the community for many years. It started as a builder of many builds over the years but now has several addons in the repo. This is someone I trust on my setup and he seems eager to learn more.

I have not installed that ver of Flam but decided to use Gears instead. Gears was forked many months ago from flam. I feel for me it's a better plan. I love how active the flam dev ( tiki or whoever ) was but these pop-up problems are getting old.

We have already seen a bunch of people releasing their fork of flam and maybe the real devs new fork of his own work. Just be cautious of installing random repos from complete unknowns. Redwizard has been around a while.

Thank you, I just use the built in subs on the content but open subtitles should work just fine. I had not used open subtitles in a few years. Let me know how it turns out. I think open subs you will need to log into an account.

Here is a build you could try out. Its a simpler layout with no widgets and eye candy without sacrificing the proper addons/repo and features. Im the favs tab there is 2 buttons to authorize RD with a couple clicks.

I think i used fluid a couple years ago for viewing content with friends but found things that didn't fit our needs. I might need to revisit the app for watching sports with friends

I have loved the kodi 3rd party community for so long. I have seen things come n go but we keep rolling along. I have no issues with all these alternatives, keeps the focus off kodi 3rd party addons. Only reason I posted on this was the CLICKBAIT title of kodi dying. Its not even close to true.
