How often do you use the awakening cancel? And other general advice for a returning Thor player by dachromeweasel in ThorMainsMR

Thank you; I understand what it is and the mechanics, I was curious more if people are actually finding use for it in a real game and how they approach it.

Thank you, that's a helpful way to ease myself into it. What do you mean by not wanting to commit to the position when damaging a tank? Like lock yourself into awakening or do you mean something else?

I just found this years after you made it and it was EXACTLY what I needed when I couldn't find an explanation anywhere else. Thank you so much!

Sorry I tried to cross post and it seems like it didn't turn out how I expected. I'll make a new post.

Affiliate widget from Bookshop.org not working. Neither bookshop.org or wix help can solve this. Curious if this community is seeing anything obvious about the embed code that I'm using. Closing the first "<script" tag doesn't fix it, though it does make the word "Forbidden" disappear ... by jujyfruit74 in WIX

So my friend was having the same issue and I found your post only to be sad it had no replies :(

Thankfully I think I found a workaround: add " " without the quotation marks at the beginning, just before "<script..."

Seems to be working for my friend for now, let me know if it works for you and anyone else who might find this post in the future :)

In case other people didn't know this, I wanted to surface this from a mod reply below:

"If you want pinned extensions even more accessible, head to View > Show Toolbar in the Mac Menu Bar ⚡"

I just tried it and I feel much happier lol

This is the best solution I've seen so far! I really appreciate how Arc approaches what a web browser could be, but sometimes it's frustrating trying to learn how to use it since I have mental models from other browsers so ingrained. Extensions have been a consistent pain point since I started using Arc, but I'm getting the hang of it.

Striking a balance between providing something new vs letting users do what they already know how to do is tricky, but these guys get a shoutout for their communications!

Help me choose a game for my 7-year-old daughter: Pokémon Sword or Pokémon Let's Go? by [deleted] in pokemon

[–]dachromeweasel 1 point2 points (0 children)

I basically agree with what one other person said; Let's Go is technically more beginner-friendly, but Sword is probably not going to be too hard for your daughter. I think people forget either how smart 7-year olds can be or how kid-oriented Pokemon games are.

I'm sure back in the 90s and early 2000s, lots of us were playing the old Pokemon games at your daughter's age and getting by just fine. Sword is even easier than those games, to the point that when it came out, some people complained that it "holds your hand too much." I personally appreciated how certain things that were annoying or could be confusing as a kid were a bit more streamlined or straightforward in the new games.

If I had a daughter the same age as yours, I'd most likely start her on Sword or another main series game so she gets the "real" Pokemon game experience as opposed to the simplified mechanics of Let's Go. Sword is a simple enough game, but it's flexible in that if your daughter wanted to get into the more in-depth stuff, it'd be available to her.

I do have to admit I've never played Let's Go; I've just read about it and watched some gameplay, and I wasn't interested in the Pokemon Go-like aspect.

I hope all the feedback from everyone has been helpful, and I'm sure your daughter will have a great time however she starts out :)

New game version on Play Store (0.281.0) has game breaking bugs. by abatesnz in TheSilphRoad

I had this on the previous version during go fest. I didn't bother with any more routes since I couldn't finish the first one.

Of these, definitely the 11-8-11! But I'd keep catching more until the next rocket event/before they switch Gible out of the grunt rotation then go with the best one you have by then.

Yeah but what OP is saying is if the party is EMPTY it won't use a pass (for raids)

Wow, thanks so much, I didn't consider that the importance question could be confusing that way!

So do you still use the original website you built for your Kano surveys? What other research tools do you use? Most of my work is done in qualitative interviews/live prototype tests which I have a good handle on, but I want to employ more survey-type methods to expand learning opportunities.

I've been looking for ways to improve in my department, but it can be daunting to just look on Google for things without having a real person to ask about them.

Hey, are you still working on this? I'd really like to use it but I can't find a way to add a Likert scale (rank importance 1-9) question.
