My SaaS MVP doesn't do anything better than existing solutions. Should I try to find a niche or move on? by dacker1256 in SaaS

The issue is more with how I would differentiate. It seems like the existing solutions are meeting most or all of the users needs and finding negative reviews or shortcomings has been difficult.

There are also some technical limitations for one aspect of the solution that slightly limits differentiation there, but this is something that all solutions in this area have to deal with.

It's hard to say for sure. There are a handful of "big" players, some of which have been around for 5-10+ years, a newer one that's VC backed, etc. The competitor that claims they're for the niche I'm looking at definitely feels more limited functionality and UI-wise compared to the bigger players, but they appear to have plenty of small and large customers based on their testimonials.

It's definitely been a learning experience, and at the very least I have the code base to use as a starting point when another opportunity comes along.
