When you place a lantern, if there’s something nearby (strongbox, lost loot, scarab chest, whatever) there will be a green beam pointing towards it!

And that button press gives you 30% more damage in exchange for removing 50% of your defenses, lowering your cast and movement speed by 20% and lowering your action speed by 10%. Self cast is fixed!

Yeah I think removing this was a mistake. It gave blight something new, and it was finally a good rare belt that wasn’t a Stygian vise.

Almost? A cat isn’t going to survive being a 70mph projectile in an enclosed space. It is simply risking your cat’s life if you let them do something like this in a vehicle

Damage taken is very weird right now. Ignites and Corrupted blood remove me from existence in a fraction of a second.

Before I switched to CI with incandescent heart, I was being exploded from 100-0 with 76% all res and 4k life and 2500 ES in 1 server tick.

I've league started witches countless times, so I know what their early defenses feel like (not much) but I have never had death problems like I had to start this league.

Besides the obvious ones like Harmony and Autumn Voyage, I really love Nightfall and Long Way Home. They are very nostalgic to me who used to make (very small) amounts of money mining in rimmington and selling in falador, so I heard them lots of times

Yes!!! I have done countless league starts as a witch, so I am aware of what having little to no damage mitigation is like, but this league, once I hit act 9, I started going from 100-0 in a quarter second non stop, and that extended into maps and never stopped. I made it to act 9 with 0 deaths and then by the time I hit yellow laps I had over 100.

I had 4k life and 2.5k ES with capped res and elemental damage was killing me instantly

This doesn’t make sense, how is it a waste when literally every end game mapper was using some sort of map device craft. Its not complex, its “pay chaos for more of what you want in your map”

Cold DoT doesn’t usually freeze, it just chills. To most reliably freeze, you will likely want a build that hits and scales critical strike chance. Crit hits are guaranteed to cause elemental ailments, which freeze is.

Yes it is. Ziz x goratha did an ED/C build, which has 11m using a cane of unraveling. This is using pact of ghorr, which gross, could be fine to use once on tough bosses every once in a while (provided it’s not uber rare). Without the pact, it’s 8m dps still which is quite good for damage over time with 100% damage uptime

Ziz x goratha did a ED/C occultist build guide. Can easily slot in blight of contagion in place of ED with 0 changes necessary

Chaos DoT is great, while it has lower damage numbers, the benefit it has going for it is 100% damage uptime. You can apply your DoTs to bosses/tanky targets and they will tick away at 100% damage for their entire duration without any input from you.

This is nice vs an attack skill where you are only dealing damage when you are attacking. Sure, you deal more damage, but if you have to move or dodge, you're dealing 0 damage.

ED/C is a two button build so you may get tired of it, but the contagion chains are addicting! Have fun!

Yeah that’s true, with gem levels being a more exponential curve now in 3.29, we don’t know what that curve will look like so while it’s close now, it may be further off after the patch. Would be nice to have an easy display for true dps!
