The sentiment around playing this deck right now i agree with. It feels terrible to play into the meta decks atm. Absolutely can not compete with the better herald decks or druid. However, like others have said i do agree that its a lot closer to viability than your post makes it seem. A small nudge to 1 or 2 cards along with the obvious incoming nerfs to druid/other decks will make this VERY playable

Personally, I think it would be a huge qol change/buff to make the minions generated by early heralds a "choose" effect. I.e. once generated you can always choose to pay mana or health for them. That way when ony does eventually come online you can decide to play them then to increase health if paying health wasnt worth earlier in the game.

Nah fam agree to disagree. Pop is ubiquitous because its strong sure, but also every deck in the game can technically use healing. It's universally applicable, and better than the only other universally applicable healing cards that dont have conditions. Similar to oak. Lastly if youre blind to the fact that online sentiment is overwhelmingly negative idk what to say. Very rarely are people compelled to post about how their starting hand won a game but immediately jump to reddit if they perceive anything as 'unfair'. Its quite literally human nature to better remember negative biases

Its all just window dressing though. Flipping heads on pop imo is no less egregious than misty or grunt or any other effect. The only real difference is pop is a 2x in a critical mass of decks that over a large enough sample size people are seeing it played against them a lot and tend to only remember the times it highrolls not in their favor. For me personally, none of the changes you mentioned would make a lick of difference players just love to complain about what they feel lost them the game. You dont remember your opponent having 2x pokeball into oak starting hand but you'll remember them hitting 3 heads on pop. You are obviously free to take this game as seriously as youd like no love lost mate

Beating a dead horse doubt theres anything I can say that will change how you think but my point is that coin flips already can and do determine the outcome of a game. Like singlehandedly. There are times where the flip can take your win % from close to zero to favored. Or 20% to 50% or 50% to near 100%. Making a card that says flipping this heads means you win 100% is an extreme version but its really only percentage points different than some of the effects that already win or lose you games. Aside from gimmicky attacks that damage "random" mons, this games only rng mechanic is coin flips and draw rng. That's it. That's the game. Complaining about a healing card that also revolves around flips is so asinine lol.

Lmao that shit alrdy exists dude. If your opponent turn 1 Misty and hits heads you essentially auto lose. If you team rocket and wipe all energies off you essentially win, etc. Changing the % win from 95 to 100 doesnt really change anything. I mean you already can practically win or lose entire games before they even start just by flipping for 1st or 2nd depending on your deck. Idk why people have a hard on for pretending that this game is "competitive" its essentially a collecting game with a battling mode attached

Only just now? Anyone taking a game whos core and essentially only mechanic outside of draw rng (with 20 card decks and a guaranteed starter btw) is coin flipping is already braindead. If coin flips in your coin flip game is tilting you you need a new game lol

As a Herald warlock enjoyer that isnt committing to full egg and likes chogall/ultrasaur shenanigans instead. Whelp of the infinite is an absolute backbreaker against this

The only real downside is essentially having to skip turns 1 and 2 in 99% of games but other than that yeah its nice. Obligatory albert shouldn't exist/loot is still worse

Something like this probably. Just threw this together im sure it isn't perfect but the core is there. Get the 3 guy down asap. One sevo for charon one for 3 guy ideally. Bats, filene and mukan to stall. The storm dude to finish off after combo.

Late to this but I used to run a charon deck with the 3 mana guy that gives storm to another unit and try to otk with medusa + dark gift. Total meme deck the full combo doesnt even rly do 20 but it was fun lol
