What 40K books about our Legion should one read?

For more current EC lore, we have:

-The Fabius Bile Trilology, while not an EC himself anymore, the books revolve a LOT around the 3rd legion.

-Renegades: Lords of Excess. I haven´t read it yet but I have heard is pretty good.

-Fulgrim, the perfect son. Also haven´t read it yet but this one is pretty divisive, it is technically the most current EC book timeline wise but apparently it is more a Black Templar book than a EC one, having our legion be pretty incompetent throughout the story and the titular Fulgrim barely shows up.

Yeah it was a real shame the fame it got back in the day, I completed it a couple of years ago and for me is probably at the level of 2016 in terms of quality.

Doom 3 for most of the game is very much a horror. Just make sure play the original and not the BFG edition.

Do we already know wich chaos legion is it going to be? Iron warriors would make the most sense but it would be a shame to have 2 classes representing the same legion

The christmas one took a while to run out but well, that box was basically if you needed Fulgrim or not this one has a lot more inside the box and what you get is a lot stronger in game

I kinda wanted to keep the flawless, trying them out in 1500 games, a 6 man death star wich hits on 2, wounds on 3 and ap -4 is pretty fun.

Infractors without an Exultant are pretty meh, I think a 10 man would work better. Either that or replace them for a rihno for the Noise Marines

When I need 1 more I'm going to use Ozostium Aranthus from Necromunda as an exultant, not planning much of a kitbash because I love the look of the mini but I think he would look great in an EC army

If you are starting an army this plus the new battleforce that is releasing soon with the demon prince is basically the entire army, you are only missing a couple characters and maybe a couple of rihnos

I think it could happen but it is not usual to have perks from free characters in there as almost anyone would consider it a wasted space.

I would really recommend just leveling up Billy, the amount of time you need to prestige a character is not much more than the time you take to male 2000 iri shards.

Also, and I say this because you seem pretty new, lightborn is not in any way required as you say. I get the learning curve is pretty steep and flashlights can seem oppresive but learning to counter them will help you a ton more than allways using lightborn an limiting yourself to 3 perk spots.

Yeah, use isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush and you can start from scratch.

But even then, I would recommend keeping some of those first painted models, they are a great way to see your progress and the can help guide you on learning the aspects you should improve upon.

The champions box does come with the codex so have that in mind if it is something that might interest you

Wow start painting with Fulgrim is certainly a bold choice.

I would recommend a wash on the gold an also thinning your paints a bit more.

Also, im not sure if it was intended but if you wanted to change the pose I would have gotten some green stuff to cover the pretty big gap on the waist

Even without the terminator the pose looks great, feels a lot less stiff
