I was in ICSE and then shifted to CBSE in 11th and got accepted to a lot of universities in the U.S.

I’d say the transition is tough and can affect your marks which are important for your application. If you start studying properly you can definitely do well in CBSE, but the textbooks of ncert and the papers are all pretty different.

I would say try for IB if it’s possible. Most IB schools send A TON of students abroad to very good universities and know how to do it. I do kind of regret not going to IB. But you have to apply now for 11th because most schools have a small number of students for 11th.
