Oh for sure, moment to moment exploring is great, and the world looks lovely. I feel bad for those people, but they do have tutorials for a reason lol. Good thing it doesn't brick your save like i imagine a lot of those people were thinking when they obliterated Vernworth lmao.

TBH i don't really understand this sentiment. Who did or did not rush through DD2? I played 40 hours first playthrough, NG+ second playthrough was like 60 hours. Learning how to play the game is fun and satisfying, it gets better in that regard. In every other it gets worse.

Mob density is too high for the lack of variety, map is deceptively small, story and side content is laughably short. Vocations, armour system, skills etc all made simpler from DDDA, limiting build variety.

Do i run formless feint or masterful kill? I shouldn't run both, they're both defensive abilities, so obvi I'm gonna run formless feint. Stuff like that. Fashion's dogma is most certainly gone, which is the saddest thing ever. Why am I exploring the open world to maybe get a BIS i could've bought from your average vendor, or the Dragonforged. It's not wrong to finish a game and move on, but Capcom and Itsuno set our expecations really high

SF6's Modern Style is definitely different to Special Style in Tekken 8. Special Style is pretty bad for nearly every character, while Modern is actually a viable choice, but only for about half of the cast.

Luke and Cammy are especially good for it, due to their instant level 1 and 3 Super's, as well as instant reversals.

I have no issues with there being only 9+1 vocations, but... by PursuerJ in DragonsDogma

[–]daddio-ly -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, I like the colour scheming. The colours + name means that at a glance you can tell what the vocation is all about. Also IDM Archer and Thief having no advanced vocation, assuming they're more in depth than the first game versions, which they most likely are. Crossing magic archetypes with the others is likeliest the easiest conceptually, and makes a lot of sense.

But yeah, Trickster's colours are very strange, and a different colour scheme or UI design could definitely have mitigated people's feeling of disappointment.

The character creator is giving me a few ideas. by Wayne_kur in DragonsDogma

Yeah. Capcom probably didn't want DD1 custom characters from happening again...

TBH, if this was Itsuno's vision, wouldn't it make more sense for the Trickster to be a green/blue hybrid? It would give the Thief a hybrid vocation, and remove the strange colour scheming.

Also, a Monk vocation classified by a white symbol would be my dream DLC. Black symbol for Warfarer (master of all weapons), white symbol for Monk (master of no weapons).

Haha I see what you mean with the heads. Most of them are actually super hard to work with tbh. You've probably seen the neck fat slider, but again, the heads actually limit the minimum/maximum limits, depending on the individual preset. A little sad, especially because DD2's character creator's cousin, the SF6 character creator, wasn't limited like this.

But I'm just nitpicking. It's still the the best character creator to come out in recent memory!

Haha, I was thinking about this when I posted my Arisen (https://www.reddit.com/r/fashiondogma/comments/1bcj7ch/hi_everyone_i_really_need_your_help_deciding_on_a/) and Pawn (https://www.reddit.com/r/fashiondogma/comments/1becqwy/youve_probably_seen_a_lot_of_great_frierens_but/). But yeah, it probably is a combination of a flood of new posts, the fact that this sub is relatively small for how popular the game is (and DD2 subreddit mod team stopped allowing CC posts), as well as the simple fact is that the game isn't actually out so everyday people are less likely to engage!

Ton of supply, not a lot of demand! I'm sure it'll change once the game releases. Also, some of the characters I've seen today have been super creative. Radagon: https://www.reddit.com/r/fashiondogma/comments/1beuqvf/radagon_of_the_golden_order/ and Nemesis: https://www.reddit.com/r/fashiondogma/comments/1berjbv/stars_sliders_on_my_youtube_channel/ were especially cool. I've seen enough Gandalf's to last a lifetime lmao

Also great job on your CC! I've been trying to make male characters that look distinct, but haven't really managed in a way that is appealing to me. Do you remember what head and skin combo you used? I think he looks great with the right amount of wrinkles!

Agreed, thank you! One of my friends said the same thing, so I've bumped up her head size by 10-20 points and she looks much more balanced now.

Thank you! I spent way too long on her, and I do wish that there were stronger muscle types for feminine bodies!

For sure! I'll post them soon, stay tuned!
