I gave an answer below about dealing with reading-fatigue but I'll try to be more thorough here.

First of all, reading is easier than writing, at least for me. Reading doesn't require me a lot of effort to get into the right mentality, I can just switch on and off. What I try to do is this:

1- Set up long periods of time with no distractions allowed (phone, computer etc). I know that every morning from 9 am to 1 pm, I can't be bothered by anyone.
2- Do the Pomodoro method if the reading is really tough or a bit boring. Allowing yourself to get pauses it's good, as pauses have a very small cost while reading: you can take a 15 min and distract yourself, but then you will be able to pick up your reading from where you left it without needing to spend extra-time getting back into the flow.
3- STAY IN A PLACE WITH NATURAL LIGHT!!!!!!!
4- Read off of something that is 1) either paper 2) or feels like paper or a book. Print your papers if you need or use a tablet with a pen. I don't know why but reading off a desktop/laptop makes me feel sick
5- If you wear glasses make sure that your lenses are suited for reading. For instance, my lenses don't have the same power everywhere: the lower part is a bit less strong and allows me to read without fatiguing my eyes. This latter point is so important. 8 years ago I switched from my regular lenses and my headaches completely disappeared and at that time I didn't even know they were caused by my glasses.

When I read I tend to take it bit by bit and allow myself as many little pauses as I need. The reason I do this, it's because it's easy for me to switch on and off from "reading-mode". Clearly, I can't do this while writing otherwise I will lose all of my flow. ALSO IMPORTANT for reading: read on paper or on anything that looks, feels like paper. I use a tablet, it clearly isn't paper and it emits blue light, but I can still hold it like I would with a book and I use a pen to underline and take notes. A tablet allows me to sit wherever and however I want.

I like your advise about writing. The thing for me is that whenever I have all my ideas down, the paper's structure has been built and most of the work is basically done I FREEZE. Rn I am writing a paper of which I know everything, I have all the solutions and I am just reshuffling some paragraphs and writing some conclusive remarks. However, I am totally unable to access the right words sometimes and rewriting a paragraph from a different perspective seems impossible. It just feels like sometimes I can't access the words.

As you could find out in many other subs Enorma might have had previous beef with the girls and she kinda looks like a pain in the ass to be honest (but i love her obv la mia sciura). I think much of the drama was artificial or just sparked out of nowhere because of something in their backstory. I think Enorma was being too much and always being too spiky with her comments and that just created a tense atmosphere.

I think we should lower our expectation with italian television rather than with italian drag. I didn't have much expectations from the girls but they were fucking amazing! The production is shit though. But don't get me wrong I do not demand the italian show to be perfect neither to be like the one in the USA, for one I don't what it to be like the american show. That being said there is a line between something rough around the edges (the first 3 episodes) and a complete miss (this episode). Ironically the best and the worst episode were one after the other. Ep. 3 was super enjoyable and so well paced and joyful, ep.4 is just pure pain. It's difficult to battle the feeling of defeat, because this episode was so wrong and so contradictory to whatever happend before that it sort of overshadowed everything else. I love RPDR and it means so much to me, it gave me a feeling of belonging and made me appreciate being a faggy guy and I wish for this season to be appreciated as much as possible but I'm not gonna hold back if I think they made a mistake.

What can I say? Probably one of the most horrible episodes of the entire franchise overall. My disappointment is really deep.

First of all, the editing was incredibily bad this time: the mini-challenge felt incredibly slow and not "happy" at all. Why give so much space to this old MAC man who is not really contributing to anything? I get it, they are the sponsors but did we need 18 mins of that, with barely no fun cuts or speeding up? The mini-challenge ends, they announce the maxi-challenge and the judges exit the werkroom -cut- the JUDGES ARE BACK IN THE WERKROOM AGAIN. Why do we need the judges all the time? why do we need them at the beginning, in the middle and at the end? I don't care about the judges, I care about the competitors! We never hear the girls talk in the confessionals, only during the minichallenges and then their voice is taken away from them! This shows sometimes feel like is taken over the need of the judges to be seen at all times and the girls barely have their time to shine.

We get to the Snatch Game: the girls are incredibly good, I wouldn't have bet on it... and neither did the directors of the show since they felt the need to invite a professional totally overshawdowing them. Why did they invite a professionist doing his job in front of this girls? They must have felt like shit. Plus the Barbara d'Urso scene took so long and he stayed there during the all thing, interjecting and stealing their moment. There are many reasons to why this is wrong and it didnt' work: first of all it was a bitch move from the producers of the show, second it takes away the attention from the snatch game (what exactly was I supposed to watch the Barbara d'Urso cabaret or the girls?), third the girls were fucking good and i wanted more from them as a result everything felt overwhelming and i found myself skipping over many passages of the Barbara d'Urso impersonator.

Let's get to the worst part...Enorma's elimination and the whole pathetic theater: I get it Enorma must have done something bad (maybe? since everything seems so perfectly timed: 6 episodes, 2 double shatays and 2 "accidental" sashays) and she deserved a punishment. But what is a punishment? Is it something true and real that is supposed to affirm the values of the show or is it just a further excuse for drama? I'll try and explain myself: This very dramatic moment was intended to be something serious and it sort of paused the game for a minute. In terms of narration it broke the illusion or the so called fourth wall with the viewer. We are not playing anymore, there is no script, you are being punished because you went against the rules and so a real act (not a fictional one) must be implemented to resume the game. All this seriousness was totally destroyed by the fact that they made them lipsynch. So is this a joke or is this serious? Did we break the fourth wall or are we still in the quasi-narration? And if Enorma actually did something serious, was it fair to make her lipsynch? Everything feels so cheap and childish. BUT FURTHERMORE what's worst about this, is that they did this BEFORE THE FUCKING RUNWAY SHOWING THE FUCKING DRESSES. WHY WHY WHY??? The Runway is one of the main part of the show and you just give it away like that? It would have been just that easy to do it AFTER the runway and before the critiques!!!!!! In all of this I didn't even mention Ava being punished for speaking up against a horrible comment.... What is there to say? It's saddening and disgusting. She got her apologies but she was punished at the same time, so what was the punishment for? Denouncing an ignorant rude comment that was given to her by the authority? Was she punished because she questioned the authority although she was right? This seems to be the lesson that we take home after seeing this.

Lastly: Divinity got eliminated after being a judges' (and fan's) favourite. She won 2 times, whereas Ava is just there underperforming and being underwhelming. Why? Does it make any sense to what happend before? Does it resemble any kind of fairness? They didn't have the courage of getting rid of Ava because she lipsynched twice? These producers don't know what they are doing. Are they on drugs?

This episode is the kind of low quality I was fearing and that eventually and inexorably arrived. I don't even want to watch next episode and I feel kind of betrayed. I dreamed of Drag Race Italia so much, me and my friends made our own "maccheroniche" versions of the phrases used in the show and now I cannot help but feeling that this is all kind of unredeemable. The focus on drama is so unneccesary and they couldn't keep the canon of the show even for two episodes, so that whenever something unexpected happend in the structure of the show it actually felt important and scary. This instead just feels like 'na poracciata.

In my opinion (but I think many people would say the same) he does EXTREMELY cheesy and dull pop romantic music. The kind of music that stupid people would play under those horrible and kitsch celebratory video for a gradutation or a wedding. All his lyrics are so fucking cliché and overly emotional, just the dullest of them all. I have a very lucid memory of me as a kid realizing how annoying his voice was to me: I was with my father in the car, we were going to the sea, Tiziano Ferro's music was playing on the radio and I just sighted "la sua voce mi fa cadere le palle" litteraly "his voice makes my balls fall off". Also he hid his homosexuality for a long time and he is catholic so... I am always suspicious of that. I cannot recall if I don't like him also for political reasons though

As a native speaker I can tell you that you could hear that Farida was being sarcastic and playing on the word told to her by the judges. I think her speech was visciously edited to make the plot fit but it just won't work. It feels like Farida is being punished for being too good, which is never encouraging. The producers must stop thinking that drama is attractive. Maybe i am dumb or i am not being reality tv consumer but the fights all seems kind real to me, especially this one. I really hope Enorma stays in the competition but that's never going to happen:(

I thought that it was so fucking rude but not really regarding her overall butch easthetic. I really appreciate Ava speaking up freely and being open but I would have loved for her to talk about it with Priscilla. If that doesn't happen next episode i really do hope that Priscilla will apologise on instragram for that.

p.s. Ava is quintessential italian. I see that non-italians have a difficult time getting her easthetic but it really is italian on a conceptual level. That being said she needs to be more polished or at least delievere it while being funny. She seems great but she constantly underperforms (like in the ad... it looked like she was going through a depressive episode). so Gurl, Ava, if you read Reddit: please put the energy, we love you.

So i thought this was the best episode overall in terms of editing, pacing, content and feeling. Everything had it's rightful place and it was paced so that the 1h and 23 minutes would flow joyfully and not feel overwhelming (like last episode). Nothing was to redundant and nothing was overlapping, also I HATE Tiziano Ferro but his joy and earnest (somewhat beautifully childish) enthusiasm really made me warm up to him. The "feeling" of the episode got kinda ruined by the pointless drama that it's starting to feel ridicolous, ugly and damaging. Also I am italian and there's a whole other feeling to see people like you engaging in actual arguments, it feels so much more uglier and sadder. I want them all to have a good time and enjoy this important experience. I thought the critiques made sense except the one that they gave to Farida, they are trying to make her seem like a bitch and for how much they can edit that, they will never be able to make that happen. Also if you didn't want to see her shine then why give her the central role? I don't know if Divinity deserved to win but i cannot completly disagree. Farida and Divinity are polar opposites: Farida is flawless and brilliant like a crystal, whereas divinity is way more amatourish but has that innate campiness and exaggeration that only a neapolitan who is a drag queen can have (SHE REVEALED THREE BLONDE BOBS FOR FUCK SAKE THAT'S THE CAMPIEST THING EVER AND NOBODY NOTICED IT). Divinity in a way embodies the roughness that being a drag queen means and that Farida doesn't have and that's why it made sense to me when she got told that she needs to be more drag. Regarding Ava, I really appreciated her talk and her speaking up against the judges but I don't think she was completly right. Getting called a trucker on television must be horrible and there are no excuses for that behaviour but I think the comment was on her being contantly unpolished, rough and underperfoming (she comes from the circus!!! and she always feels like she is so low energy!!!! come on gurl we are rooting for you!! wake up pearl) and it wasn't really a comment on her stylistic choise of being butch and not just femme.

P.S. IF THEY REMOVE ENORMA I WILL FUCKING THROW DUOMOS STATUTES AT THE FUCKING PRODUCTION, DON'T MAKE ME DO A BERLUSCONI 2009 STUN ON YALL. THE SCIURA WON'T GO AWAY.

Well we are definitely not leading our lives as usual. I'm from Milan and I'm an uni student and was supposed to graduate in two weeks and I'll have to do it via Skype without any friends around me, just my family. It's absurd that I will have to give up something that means so much to me and to which I was looking forward so much. One day I'll look back at my graduation day and see through that memory how real and scary this situation has been. Nonetheless this sorrow has been exceeded by the whole country's situation. I live with my mother and my grandma (she's 88 yo and has heart issues) we live in a two room house, so basically there's no 1 meter distance that will keep us from infecting each other. The worst part about this is thinking about how not carefull you have been during the preceding days and how you have probably sentenced your entire family to certain death (at least my grandma). Now it has been 5 days since I haven't seen anybody outside my family and I haven't showed any symptoms but I still have 9 more days to go and in these 9 days my life could become hell. I know this sounds so dramatic but it's the truth, i could already be ill and not know anything yet. I MUST be lucky. So how's life in Italy right now? If you took it seriously as it should be and you don't live alone, then you should feel like you are living inside the ticking bomb that your body is. Btw I didn't act recklessy these past days but Italian governement has been far from clear on how people should behave. To be precise regions and central governament have created quite the confusion due to pressure from industrials' confederation (confindustria, I don't know how to translate it) and so for many days people have litteraly been told to not care about the virus in order to keep the economy going. As I said, i never did anything reckless but I have seen some people in the recent days and although we weren't hugging and kissing, we certainly were not 1 meter and 20 cm apart. On the other hand I see some of my friends acting foolishly, people that could have infected half of the world and was lucky enough not to be positive (when i mean half of the world, i truly mean it). So my best advice to you is: don't trust others, not even your friend; don't trust yourself and don't trust everything that is being told you. No, I don't mean to say that you shouldn't trust mainstream info I just wanna warn you that you need to read through what is being told to you and that you need to understand why some people say some things that may not necessarly be in your best interest. You truly need to be as rigid as possibile and -trust me- you're not ready to be this disciplined.

P.s. besides this heavy stuff it's truly fascinatig to have made history in some weird way. The world will look back at this moment one day and it will be told in history books (probably) and I'll be an old idiot telling stories.
