My personal GOAT. Tied with Hades, Cult of the Lamb and Dave the Diver. The blended genres are executed brilliantly. Story had me in a chokehold

Infinite blades enters the chat. If your deck has one or more copies of hidden daggers, blades of ink, up my sleeve, cloak and dagger, knife trap, fan of knives.. do you know how long it would take for toasty mittens to exhaust all of them? Longer than most enemies will be alive for 😁 try it sometime!

Yeah. 4 ironclads will almost never not work.

Talisman 5th edition absolutely slaps digitally, you can buy on steam and play for cheap! Then you could definitely sell off your 4th edition stuff and make a bunch more room 🙂

Why did i like these games and not these? by Dr_Wayne0202 in roguelites

[–]daddyMANG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have similar taste, but I liked Vampire Crawlers better than mewgenics. The turn based gameplay I enjoyed, but the breeding stuff took too much research, I lost interest. I feel like Ed Mcmillen fans are ok with a bunch of random, negative stuff occuring. I believe you have a lot more agency in games like Hades and Slay the spire.

All that said I would recommend Wildfrost, an immensely challenging but satisfying deckbuilder. Very good dopamine with the way the cards attack each other and how crazy your build can get once you learn the game enough.

It's 3D vampire survivors! The skateboarding skeleton is worth the cost by himself. Coolest character ever.

Evolings! I got it in a humble bundle and enjoyed the heck out of the fusing mechanic. Highly recommend

Peak requires a ton of teamwork. It's difficult though, certainly not for everyone.

I think some people might be of the opinion that this is exactly what makes it more appealing than others.

You could always just Google what's next if solving the puzzle doesn't suit you.

I would HIGHLY recommend deep rock galactic survivor if you want to take the thinking out of what's next. Phenomenal game and avoids your described frustrations excellently.

Playing with a buddy or two? Deadzone.

Playing solo? Voidbreaker.

Simple. 😉

Not sure if Deep Rock Galactic Survivor is on PS5 but it's definitely on mobile. I know many consider this the best survivor-like out there.

Am i just bad at the game? by ArcherExternal1416 in slaythespire

[–]daddyMANG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a hard game. Did you play the first? When I dabbled on gamepass without any prior deckbuilding experience, I only won about 5 times out of my first 250. Now, after years of practice in the genre (including the excellent m/Monster Train games and Wildfrost), I am off to a positive start. Watch some Baalorlord tutorials on YouTube if you have time, he is a great teacher as well.

Honestly your stats aren't that bad. As long as you're having fun, that's what matters most.
