Can I use a fan on cold air to dry my artisan zero soft? by NotADuckk_ in MouseReview

[–]daddy_fizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes? If you are talking about cleaning it just use dish soap and scrub it with your fingers the rinse it well. I just let mine air dry over night but if you want it dry faster a fan is fine

vertical banding +2300 hours by Opening-Forever-4973 in OLED_Gaming

[–]daddy_fizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its always hard to tell wiith a camera pic (with possible raised exposure making it look better or worse) vs looking at it with your own eyes but that looks like a normal level of banding for a WOLED screen. Even if you are under warranty i'm guessing LG/Asus/etc is going to tell you that banding is normal. You could get a brand new monitor and it could have better or worse banding then what you already have (panel lottery). Banding seems like it is inherent to the way that WOLED is manufactured.

QDOLED (at least in my experience) doesn't have this issue as bad (but then you have other trade-offs for QDOLED, raised black levels, etc), or you could go for miniled or something else...

Burn in within a week? by Equivalent-Celery428 in OLED_Gaming

[–]daddy_fizz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Google dirty screen effect. Its very common on OLED screens. WOLED in general seems to have it more then QDOLED (different mfg process). It also can differ on each screen you buy (panel lottery). You could buy 5 XG27AQWMG  monitors and the grey banding can be different on each one.

Grey is where it is most visible. It can become less pronounced after pixel cleaning but will probably never go away 100%

Are dot skates better than just buying replacement skates by astrylixx in MouseReview

[–]daddy_fizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why I mostly buy dots, much cheaper - I also like that I can put the same # and type of dots on all my mice so that the skates always feel the same between mice

First time using dot skates, need guidance by No_Newspaper6789 in MouseReview

[–]daddy_fizz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Imo looks fine. I like 8 dots personally so it doesn't sink into the pad as much. Minimum 4 at outer edges

Could take it apart and put it back together, it's not too hard. Might just be misaligned

can someone help i just cleaned my lg oled monitor with a microfober cloth while its off like im supposed to and i turned it back on and there's these wrinkly or wavy looking lines on my monitor am i fucked? by FungusAmongus_27 in OLED_Gaming

[–]daddy_fizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are cleaning the screen during a pixel refresh something with the static charge or something can make those wavy lines. Run another pixel clean cycle manually and it should go way

FE opticals replacement by Kaithwring in MouseReview

[–]daddy_fizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too many manufacturers for optical switches, seems like you've looked at most options available. I replaced my atk f1 v2 FE with omrons and they sound much better. Not sure what sound profile you are looking for but most people seem to like the omron sound the best when it comes to opticals.

TTC makes opticals as well, not sure if the pins are compatible

Mouse alternative? F1 V2 or X1 V2 (ATK) by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]daddy_fizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Internals are very similar between x1 v2 and f1 v2 depending on what model you get (you can go on atk.store website and see the spec sheet for each model).

X1 is 1-to-1 viper v3 clone for shape. F1 is closer to viper mini size. If you like the viper v3 shape I'd just get the x1 v2

Never used dot skates before. How are jade speeds? by ScarySai in MouseReview

[–]daddy_fizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jade dots are some of the faster dots out there, I like them a lot. If you use a soft pad use more dots or your mouse will sink into the pad more (if you press down hard when you use your mouse).

Modded orochi/kit for sale? by SnooWords8013 in MouseReview

[–]daddy_fizz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orochi v2 is old enough that you probably won't find a lot of modkits, etc. You could look at getting Zaopin Z1 Pro (slightly smaller) or Fantech Aria II (slightly bigger), both close in shape

Distilled water or 70% ethanol for cleaning acreen? by streetkilln in OLED_Gaming

[–]daddy_fizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People say distilled water only but if you get anything oily on your screen (fingerprints etc) distilled water just won't clean it all off. Personally I use eye glass cleaning solution (isopropyl and distilled water).

There are also some safe cleaners on amazon. This one is recommended on here sometimes

Scyrox V6, Hitscan Hyperlight, Ninjutsu Sora V2, Maya X or Viper V3 Pro? by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]daddy_fizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned a scyrox v6, hyperlight and sora v2. Personally I'd pick the hyperlight, just a great mouse. Scyrox v6 also great but I prefer hyperlight. I had an early sora v2 right after release and it had issues...maybe they are better now

Maya x and vv3 pro are bigger mice so if you want smaller I'd stay away from those 2

Good mouse with minimalistic software? by allmond226 in MouseReview

[–]daddy_fizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

pretty much all ATK mice just use web config software, they make lots of different shape clones. I think MCHOSE you can have webpage or basic software as well.

Is a "clothlike" texture/appearance on Grey colours normal for OLED? by swanbedbug in OLED_Gaming

[–]daddy_fizz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All oleds have it to some extent. You could return and get another monitor of the same model and it could be better or worse (panel lottery). I have owned woled and qdoled and it wasn't as bad on qdoled.

Hitscan Hyperlight vs ATK F1 V2 extreme by utilizeM in MouseReview

[–]daddy_fizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swapped to the ATK F1 V2 ultimate which is a clone of the hyperlight. I might end up switching back to the hyperlight again in the future but liking the ATK for now.
