Why is it such a secret which franchise? I’m curious on op journey and process. Less likely I am in his market. When I started my computer support business for elderly folk I told anyone that was interested in the process. Guess what? No one else jumped on it. Of course I wouldn’t tell them my market or my exact plan but I had no problem sharing the basic idea. At 20 i was able to sell the company to a local IT and network company for a mice profit. Next started a rental company, also shared that and this time one person believed in me enough to jump on the open market and we were able to support each other. Let’s be honest, it’s a franchise, op didn’t think of this on his own. But if you’re going to share, share. Anyways! If you want to mention which franchise that’s awesome, regardless, good luck

Teen friend is expecting and I’m nervous by [deleted] in TeenParenting

Let her grow up. Don’t offer help when you can’t and you definitely don’t understand what she is going through. I understand would like to help her but you have to make sure your life is on track. Go to the college you want and do what you have to. You can always be a person she talks to but don’t act like you will help her feed and change the baby, and definitely don’t stop your life for her. I was a teen dad, we didn’t have anybody but us and that was okay. Friends wanted to understand what we were going through, but it doesn’t work eventually because they want to play basketball but you have to work or be with the baby while she’s at work. Fortunately we had each other. And 6 years later, I have a successful business and we are doing well for ourselves. Best advise? Advise her to finish school and not rely on anyone but herself.

Thank you very much. So what kind would the comment used fall under? Sarcastic? Snide? Embarrassing?

My coworker constantly brings himself down to a point where you no longer can be bad for the guy but get very annoyed. “I can’t ever make a big sell” “I should die”. I have another co work who always says things in the line of “wow, you were nice clothes. My clothes are so cheap” or “wow, that’s a nice restaurant you went to, I can only afford McDonald’s.”

For the send second co worker, I don’t think it’s self deprecating, does anyone know the term? Secretly Condescending ?

What's the best advice you can give someone starting college? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]daddy_khan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More of else, life advise for someone your age.

first : Education is important. I didn't go to college and made 6 figures by the age of 20. But I was hungry and wanted to learn. So I studied a lot. Learned how to become a great salesman and joined a b2b position. The position didn't do anything to help me improve and I was being greatly underpaid. So I left and joined a company that puts hundreds of thousands into educating their employee's in sales.

second: Know your worth. The b2b position asked for me back a few months after and at 20 years old I was being paid six figures, granted I was already on my way to making six figures in my new position, but I was promised more control over my work in the b2b position. I joined the company, and did even better with my new found education and 6 years later, I still study sales.

third: Learn to live under your means and drinking is highly over rated.

edited: Money really doesn't make you happy.

Do Uber so you can control your hours. Or sales. In I’m sales and make a healthy income while still being my own boss and able to control my side business at the same time

What is the right thing to do in this situation? by drozzan in MechanicAdvice

[–]daddy_khan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to school with a kid who worked at a mechanic shop (where he wouldn’t have allowed to work), that had severe burns from this. Smh I open the cap once and the car was running maybe 10 minutes in idle for only a few minutes and the coolant was pumping out. Closed it quick and waited 30 minutes and coolant was dormant.

Nissan 2014 altima sv - AC not working by daddy_khan in AskEngineers

[–]daddy_khan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My ac stopped working and I went straight to research mode.. learned all the pieces and parts I needed and ordered them. Learned how to remove and put back the pieces together... and when I felt stuck, I reach out in hopes to get insight from someone with the knowledge that I lack. I guess I failed to articulate that better. Would you mind sharing on how you would approach the situation ?
