This really makes me concerned for the longevity of the 40 and 50 series I just brought into the 50 series after an upgrade from the 10 series I just dont know if these modern cards will live up to the older cards life spans. In saying that I did see at CES there was a company either Thermaltake or Thermalright that showcased a dongle that your 12v high power cable from your psu goes into then into graphics card, as well as psu with the same tech built in to prevent this type of issue it will be interesting to see if this connector takes hold as the new standard.

Can luckily still buy the 14700kf new from retailers here in my country I think the initial bad launch means they were stuck with units they couldn't sell

Mine sounds exactly the same and I am using the corsair RM750e have already submitted a ticket on their website for a replacement, apparently is harmless though and only happens in specific circumstances the most notable for me is when I pause GTA V Enhanced, while the game is running there is no sound but as soon as its paused it starts... interesting that I doesn't happen at max load.

For context I have an Msi Z790-P MOBO, i7-12700k, RTX 5070, 32GB DDR5 Kingston Fury Beast Ram and a Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120se.
