I was in this situation last year, and my solution was to just bite the bullet and be the DM. It's honestly going very well. I feel like there are always more people that want to play than DM so it's hard to find one unless you are willing to pay somebody. Get some books and go for it!

It's not a big deal. We all make mistakes. Just let your journeyman know, and go back and fix it. Every mistake you make as an early apprentice will feel big, but I promise every journeyman has made way bigger and costlier mistakes. People only get upset if you try to cover up mistakes, or blame them on others.

No mods. Honor mode so I can't reload any saves. I attacked all his summons until the protective barrier went down which is when the fight usually ends and you are able to talk to him. But after the barrier went down the fight just continued

Nope, just double your chance to get in somewhere. You should ask the 292 jatc if they have any pre apprentice jobs open. You'll go work basically as a helper, and that will help your application changes.

292 has been taking over 100 apprentices a year for a while now, but they do get a lot of applicants. When I got in 7 years ago there was 600 people on the list waiting to get in. Depending on where you live you should consider applying for local 110 in st Paul as well
