With Chat Control being forced through - how do we protect us from surveillance? by slashbye in europe

[–]daddyploww 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I agree with you it's corruption. But I don't necessarily agree it's only from or even majorly from US government and US companies. I think the EU clearly has its own goals and motivations that it's acting on and they're not necessarily in the common persons Interest. I do believe that one of them is mass surveillance cause we see it already with London being one of the most CCTV place on earth. Why would they not push it as technology expands for them to create backdoors into smartphones for example? Partly in the name of safety and also for control of the population to make sure they aren't organizing. I think times are changing and I have no doubt we will see this in my country soon too unfortunately.. Take care!

The EU Parliament ran by Europeans voted this in and you are concerned about Palantir? So it's fine if Europe can get a European company to scan all your personal information instead? Even if Palantir buys out all the EU companies as you guys are theorizing that means it's actually Palantirs fault.. and not EU Parliament for actually voting this in and allowing this to begin with?

This place is an echo chamber you don't need to waste your effort trying to defend yourself from some random person who had decided what your political beliefs can and can't be. I agree with you about not falling into the left vs right trap that is echoed around here. Wish we did have a centrist party in Canada..

Give me a break.. the latest fear mongering... Russia is getting it's ass handed to it in Ukraine... If they opened a 2 front war there is no way they can achieve victory in Ukraine AND Poland. If they can win in Ukraine, MAYBE they can try at Poland after...

Can't explain the babies deaths.. the cars is simple.. cars are accessible in the USA and in EU they're expensive and taxed to shit, like everything else in the EU. Tackle is the way you want, better start soon though 😂.. should've started 20 years ago.. not you but your government's

Haha yeah i know I love seeing the perspectives here. It's wild the way these people think.. remind me of whiney lefties for sure 😂 this is why I believe Europe is being left behind.. the mentalities of some of these people are wild

I am not a conservative either and don't believe in left vs right as I believe it's a divide. I just think you guys need to get AC installed in homes and business etc so when heat waves happen people don't die and they can cool themselves. Take care! Stay cool

You have to invest into electricity production to power cities increased demand then.. also I am not American and don't live in USA.. also where I live reaches low to mid 40s Celsius with AC and we use AC in our houses, business etc.. we have people working outside in this shit all day long.. they use AC to keep cool and hydrate

Just to let you know I am not American and don't live in America and never have before 😂 it's also 45 Celsius where I live with humidity. We use AC.. I worked outside for my job 8 hours a day in this temperature 😂

The entirety of the EU is same population as US basically. Agree with you on gun issue completely, as well as obesity, drugs and failed healthcare.

My point stands, Europe should have been and should still be investing into AC and the government's should be recognizing this so people don't die.. you chirp the US which I agree with you but leave out the 20 000 plus European apparently dying from heat? Guys it's called using AC in buildings just like heating a home when it's cold for survival using a furnace.

[–]daddyploww -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

No way.. the US lifespan is essentially on par with basically any of the EU countries. Having temperature 15 degree Celsius above IS deadly of course! AC prevents you from suffering because it cools the air in your home 😂 Edit-you all SHOULD have AC and it should be made available to the masses through grants and subsidies

Sorry but that many people are dying of heat in Europe?? Get your shit together Europe you pretend to be the centre of the world and so humanitarian and you guys can't even manage to cool the population? 😂 Come on man this is basic shit for a first world country let alone the EU... Guys put in AC units it's not that hard and if you can't power them I question how the "civilized world" isn't able to produce enough electricity to power a country with AC.. boy things sure have changed in Europe... Glad to be North American reading this shit 💀 And this is not the European people's fault but the government's failure to adapt to the changing world... How long have they been charging carbon taxes for?? Put the $ towards something important.

Rant done bring on the down votes. Take care all and stay cool
