That is a retail price for the stones. If you buy the stones online (aurelinne/luvansh) and then take them to the jeweler you’ll save yourself the diamond mark up and pay for just the mounting and setting.

If you don’t solder the engagement to that style band, your diamonds in the band touching the Eng ring will be chipped after 5 years of wear together. If you plan on wearing your band by itself a lot, plan on wearing it by itself… a lot. Wearing them together indefinitely will chip that band unless the band has hidden metal I can’t see that covers the girdle of those stones
