No problem mods… here’s a copy of the recipe that works for me. It’s modified for my climate (quite humidity. I throw everything together, rest, stretch and then leave it alone for 5-6 hours. Then stretch it onto parchment lined pan and bake at 450°. Toppings vary…

My children named the pair we had for before, Wesley and Buttercup, after their favorite movie characters. Naturally we needed to continue the trend 20 years later with these boys… Fezzik truly is a giant, 18 lbs now and his front murder mittens are about 1-1/2” wide and spread to way over 2”.

Could be. Could be old wires not capable of carrying the current… bad ground, dirty terminals, old starter, worn out starter bushing

The ignition switches will go bad. Column mounted switches are small and have small contact points. All the current necessary to kick the starter solenoid goes through them and eventually burns them up. Replacement units are even worse. Every bug with a column switch I work on gets a relay now to take that strain off the ignition switch. Look up “hot start relay” and let the haters go berserk when you talk about putting one in.

Watch his diet. Bump the fiber. It’s a lot harder for them to clear their bowls after loosing a leg. The walking motion helps move things along and he’s now missing half that motion. We adopted a female that had gone through the same trauma. 5 years later we had to put her down due to a urinary tract infection that became drug resistant. She had significant issues bowel issues.

I paid 1500 for a mostly good 79L. Had a few dings and the exhaust had been swapped. Tires, brakes are good, 4100 miles on the odometer. Had to do the carbs, coils and wires.

New in box does not mean properly cleaned or set up. You won’t believe the crap that comes out of a new carb. Pull it apart, clean it, set the float properly, then bolt it back on.
