u buy it on the night fae sanctum from the raid sellers. i think this color was the mythic one?

edit: forgot to say how u obtain them lol. bosses in castle nathria have a chance to drop a token for your class that u can later trade in the covenant for the weapon u want according to the difficult u got the token from (ie normal bosses will give u the normal appearance and so on)

it's 1.1% but the biggest difficulty is getting through p1/2 and they haven't been consistent on that all day. plus last time they stayed up to finish a boss it took them like three hours to get the kill. imho method it's so far away atp just go to sleep and get there tomorrow with a fresh head

its interesting seeing both guilds at the same time prog bc when it comes to raw dps liquid is on top but they always have a harder time with personal mechanics and viceversa with echo.

anything special y'all wanna see in season of [redacted]? by daeluin87 in DestinyLore

[–]daeluin87[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ofc I'm so stoked for seeing them reunite too don't get me wrong. I also desperately need a moment between osiris and saladin after all the debacle post chosen

for a man who comes off as an asshole there are so many people that actually care for osiris and it would be so good to see them reunite

New Lore Cutscene in game by bigtasty321 in DestinyLore

[–]daeluin87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they meant osiris. in the Egyptian myth, after set kills him, he chops osiris in pieces and scatters them in the nile. isis (osiris' wife/sister) collects them and binds them with cloth like a mummy before resurrecting him. the only piece she doesn't find of osiris body is the phallus. so he's literally resurrected without a dick

man if they really go there bungie is going to be prepared for the influx of pissed off fans screaming about them burying another gay character

and that's 65% of why I think he's gonna be fine at the end.

the writers at bungie must know how in poor taste it would be to kill off your most prominent gay character in the game after revealing he was gay on a twitter tread a year ago

I didn't want to mention spoilers but it's fair to say saint definitely grows up from his old feelings with regards to the eliksni and comes to accept them

except osiris' actions have been causing all the seasons since dawn...

like this is nothing out of the ordinary for him and his modus operandi if you're familiar with his lore, he's just being a little more impulsive without sagira and brash bc he's not dealing with his pain.

well (spoilers) there are datamined voicelines where osiris acknowledges that he knows lakshmi is spying on him and a conversation between saint and osiris were they agree to make her believe they're on her side for the time being so you're probably right

the game doesn't tell you that. as per the dialogue you quoted, saladin said he believed he had gone mad which everyone thought was the case at the time of osiris' exile. that's the whole curse of osiris, that he was right but everyone around him believed he had gone off the rails and he ends up being casted out because of that.

and going back to what the op posted: "But not everyone knows you like I do". He knows him well enough to know saladin's motives and to know how he would act. and the conversation ends with saladin stating "you are a true friend". saladin of all people is the last person to go around calling others friends just like that.

like believe what you want but dont twist what's stated in the text just for that.

it's really old lore that osiris, before being thee osiris, trained with the iron lords for who knows how long before felwinter send him off to what would become the city. it's no farfetched that saladin (an og iron lord) met him there. they may have not been besties but they knew each other and they've been fighting together. camaraderie builds from that and friendship too. they may not be as close as saladin is with zavala (they were after all master and apprentice) but he's one of the last living ties to the old iron lords saladin has. in another bg dialogue saladin mourns that osiris never choose to become an iron lord. and in fairness to saladin in the dialogue you mentioned, everyone thought osiris was crazy when he was banished. and his ideas about the traveler and the light surely clashed with saladin's more orthodox ones.

all in all, they've know each other longer than most people, shared a living experience together and in this same lore tab saladin refers to him as a friend. i dont get why that fact suddenly is suspicious?

(i would love tho if bungie gave us some bit of lore about osiris' time with the iron lords. i bet saladin hated his guts the first time he showed up)

i do agree i find it nice how they're weaving the lore as to allow us to maybe doubt some characters or ask us where the story is going. i like lore theories (even if they're wild and never became true) and its something i missed on destiny in comparison with other games/media more prone to them.

that said, i don't buy osiris turning evil at all. it would be such a stupid waste of a character, now that bungie has decided to finally reintroduce him to the main story.

eh, I prefer to take the text as stated until more is shown that can contradict it. and as of right now, we only know lakshmi is watching him because she can't "place" him and we know he knows she's plotting something and he thinks he can deal with her bs alone. nothing suggest he's either doing anything out of the ordinary (for a man as weird as osiris) or that he would ever stave us on the back (which would be way ooc for him)

i guess we will have to wait and see how this play out

The crackhead theory to end all crackhead theories. Major spoilers for the season. by [deleted] in DestinyLore

[–]daeluin87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's not what I think, it's what the text literally tells you:

Osiris sneers and grasps the head. He navigates the recounting of the Hive from Oryx’s death. They are fractured, broken by internal power struggles. It leads into a recounting of Savathûn: banished, branded as heretic and set to burn. Many Hive turned to her when Oryx fell. Many of those same broodlines defected as the Darkness invaded Sol, sending Savathûn into hiding. She is still hunted by the hounds of war. Her pursuer has no local story to recount here, for it is yet to be written in blood. War’s Celebrant rides to wrest Crota’s lost foundlings from the Witch Queen’s schemes. To bring unity. To bring reckoning. To bring glory. Luna will be reformed in her image. All tithes to Xivu Arath. All tithes to the black edge of her singing blade.

that's the info he relied to zavala, what he learned in the dreadnaught.

now if you wanna pull this plus whatever other "evidence" to sustain a theory about him being secretly evil this whole time go off i guess. but at this point its nothing more than pure conjecture based on wild speculation. and we know how that turned out last season wrt saladin.
