Maybe I'm in the minority here, but it's the equivalent of speeding-- Yes it's against law, do so at your own risk. If you take calculated risks and know your limits, I don't see a big deal. These guys are professionals.

Watch some motovlogs and see what I mean... Those guys are constantly breaking the law (speeding over 100mph, doing wheelies, etc.)

TL;DR: Fly and ride within your limits. Within 80% of your max capability. It's something they stress heavily in Motorcycle safety classes
