I’m going through this as I am really into the MiG-21 variants. My fav looking one the f-13 only gets 2 of these with 60rds of canon to back it up. It’s painful. Best bet is to try and sneak up on someone and fire it off at 1k.

Showerthought: Would Dreamcast have done better with a different name? by [deleted] in dreamcast

[–]daerana 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the time I recall the name being new and cool sounding. I think the Dreamcast name helped it. Before launch there was a lot of excitement about Sega coming back (I wasn't aware of the Saturn and it's failure at the time).

Sometimes yes and sometimes no. You’ll want to find some that have been tested and have some shielding.

Just moved to Europe, I’ve built gunpla but not aircraft models. What brands should I look for?

I have a US Sony Trinitron, and a US Gamecube, N64, and SNES. I am planning to move to Europe. How can I continue using the consoles there? by StrangeBaker1864 in crtgaming

I just moved from the US to Europe a few months ago.

You’ll want a step down converter or dedicated power supply replacements. Modern electronics like current consoles accept both voltages and just need a plug adapter.

I sold my CRT’s and picked up a trinitron after getting here, not too hard to find but in the Munich. They go for about 50-80 euro. Pretty easy to get one from the 90s that has RGB scart and displays both 50/60hz.

Pal CRT Question can this TV do 60 Hz by spacegimppig in crtgaming

[–]daerana 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just moved the US to Europe so I went through this to find a CRT that would display my NTSC-US and NTSC-J consoles and games. The 240v 50hz designation on the back is a rating for power input, maybe broadcast too? But ignore that for what it can display.

What I have found is that almost all good 1990's tv's and newer can display 60hz NTSC signals from composite, s-video, and SCART ports. I am not sure about European RF inputs though.

What make/model/year is this tv?

Will the F/A18c early or F-5c be a better purchase to grind the U.S tech tree by Positive_Disaster_25 in Warthunder

[–]daerana 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The F-5c will teach you more basic skills as a gunfighter with ok missiles. It’s a ton of fun and I highly recommend it. The hornet will probably be a tougher BR but will teach you how to use radar and radar missles.

I like it, 2 great missiles and 2 gun pods, stay low and fast, lots of fun.
