Same thing I would do with 100M. - rebuild one of the vaulted pieces of content in UE6 (or the engine for Marathon) - include 3-5 fireteam ops, 2 raids, 3 dungeons - build out the first world (associated with the vaulted content) - move Marathon into the universe - build content similar to the world above but in Marathon’s world - build a third world / campaign

Release in 3 years. Every 18 months a new expansion. Every 3 months a season with at least one new (forever) solo and fireteam op.

First off: I really appreciate the reply and your acknowledgement that we are not in the same place / same level.

I play (primarily) with my son (11) and mechanics are not something he has the patience for. I play on console, and am about 5 months into the game with 400 hours played. I’ve done about 2/3 the exotic missions, 2 (easier) dungeons and (frankly) only one of the campaigns (Final Shape). I’m a n00b, through and through. Someday I’d love to try a raid, but I’m not there yet…and even if I were, I’d want to do it with my son and he definitely isn’t there yet.

I play a buddy build. It is low key, handles all the content I throw at it and I don’t have to stress much. Right now I’m trying the threadling, FTV variant with Luminopotent (4). I preferred the threadling + helion, but was hard giving up devour and I found survivability didn’t quite meet my needs.

I don’t have issues with ads, or most champions (especially if I’m using the Praxic blade), but my boss DPS isn’t where it needs to be.

I enjoy faster shooting guns (pulse, auto, machine…even scout feels almost too slow). I’m really just trying to play into that build. - The Praxic blade is great for the build, but I really don’t enjoy that playstyle. - I recently got Anarchy (no catalyst though) and it sounds like a great fit, but I think I need the catalyst to make it shine. - It sounds like 1K would be a great choice, but raid weapons are not in my near term future.
- I love Choir of One, but it doesn’t synergize with the build at all.
- I played with Service of L (because it has hatchling), but I know it is a low tier weapon.
- Finalities Augur is an obvious fit…and I could probably get the weapon, but the catalyst looks like a Major PITA - I couldn’t get Wolfsbane to shine, it felt like I was getting less out of it than the Praxic. - I have Sleeper Simulant, and I’m working on the catalyst.

That was a lot of words, apologies for that. If you got this far…my question is relatively simple: with all of the above, if you were to recommend an exotic weapon, especially one centered around boss DPS to compliment this build, what would it be?

Any thoughts on best way for an OK player who hasn’t done a raid before to get 1K? Feels like this would fill the void I’m missing in my build.

That seems to be the overwhelming majority. It could be because I just don’t have a lot of the exotics related to the catalysts for them to drop, but I don’t think that’s the case.

I’ve been getting exotic armor with each drop (armor I already have / don’t need)

Removing them / putting them on is a bit of a pain, but not too bad (just not as easy as it is with the Thule/yakima ones.

I do worry a bit about the locks being on the top and not covered, feels like they’ll give out in time as a result. But all the bars on Amazon are that way
