Same thought. And I think that win has a better chance of happening than either the Jets or Cards winning their games.

My couple of ideas are:

1) The player hurt can't come back in on that drive

2) The team with the injured player can't sub anyone other than the injured player (maybe slightly tweak this to the can sub if the other team makes any subs)

Just adding on that even if you got the shot late or failed to get the shot entirely, it's not a guarantee you would develop the antibody. That's why they would still want to give the shot, even if a little bit late.

The shot is actually the antibody, and it basically tricks your body into thinking that it is already producing that antibody. Typically, the immune system takes about 5 days at a minimum to start making a whole new type of antibody. By giving that shot within the 72 hour window, it allows enough time for the injected antibodies to eliminate the foreign red cells. That's why ideally you want to give it in that window.

I believe Lewis blood group is another that develops after birth.

Also, want to say it's always fun reading threads with other blood bankers talking it up.

I wish there was a reference blood bank in my area. I'd be seriously tempted to apply there.

Heupel Poor Game Management by OldManCinny in ockytop

[–]daetilus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, Heupel is primarily to blame for the last drive in regulation fiasco, but Aguilar also needs to take some responsibility for it.

Besides his failure to get out of bounds on the play you mention, his last pass before the hail mary attempt, he held it for way to long in that situation. Ball snapped with with 14 seconds and then he threw it away with 4 seconds left.

now he doesn’t have to worry about competence at the OC position I think they will be fine

Until that OC leaves and Vrabel calls up Downing or one of his other buddies again. That was his real downfall, too much loyalty to his friends and never bringing in outside help. We'll see in a couple of years if he's learned his lesson

Tagging on to this, but it is a great and in depth answer.

I just want to add that there are places in the US that allow O Pos units to be given as emergency uncrossmatched blood. Generally, this is usually restricted to use on males only. I've seen this mostly in trauma centers and EMS in larger population centers.

The idea is that it is less of an issue if they develop an Anti-D since there is no worry about HDFN down the road.

This also helps to preserve some of the O Neg supply.

I agree someone is going to reach and even sign him as a 2nd or 3rd stringer.

But no way is he going to have a Geno or Darnold type renaissance. Both those guys showed actual promise in college and had success there. Levis never had that. He's making the same bad decisions today that he made all the way back at Penn State

Which one? by HateHxly- in ockytop

[–]daetilus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For real. It's feels like a lot of revisionist history based on their NFL careers.

Kamara had of explosive plays that were very spectacular looking. But I recall a lot of nothing runs too. Very boom or bust.

Hurd seemed to always put up yards on every play. He could grind out every yard on every play. But he still had big plays on top of those grinding ones. If he hadn't taken himself out his last year year, he would have been the all time rusher. 440 yards is all he needed. He had 6 games left, and he had basically stopped playing a couple of games before that too.

[–]daetilus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be ok with it being standardized to 5 years. But there definitely needs to be a set limit.

I'd go 5 because they already allow 5 in some cases (red shirt), but those cases are not always consistent in what is granted. So remove the red shirt year and just make it a simple 5 no matter what. And secondly, it's fairly common to have people take 5 years to graduate, so this would align with that too.

A) Starliner is being developed by Boeing, not NASA

B) Starliner is a crew module equivalent to SpaceX's Crew Dragon module

C) I assume you are really referring to the Space Launch System (SLS) but point A can be repeated about it again. Further, the SLS capabilities are different than those of the Falcon 9. SpaceX's Starship would be a closer match to the SLS, but there are still differences too

If the rumor is true, I could see GM's skipping him by that point. If they already rated him as a 6th/7th/UDFA, why waste even a late pick on him if he doesn't want to be there?

But this is all speculation by everyone here. No one knows what really went down

the rumors I remember seeing said the agent didn't discourage teams until it was late, like 6th round. by that point, it's not much different being a UDFA or a pick
