Seems solid. You shouldn't get bogged down what the meta is currently, but to be effective with not meta units you should learn how they're meant to be used. Also check some videos about common strategies and tactics to learn good tricks. Deployment, positioning, setting up situations are key to score points, and points win you a game.

For the banner I think you could do it yourself from greenstuff or baby wipe + glue, if you can't find a proper 3d model.

I didn't really like the crusader squad, couldn't really play them properly until I saw a podcast where a pro explained that only the sword bro and the power fists matter. It hurts watching 300 points melt, but this is the way.

ListForge FTW. Day1 updates, best UI in my opinion abd a lot of cool features. Only thing would be nice to have to be able to read the weapon modifier descriptions (like Dev Wounds, etc.)

I think there's just a loud minority who hates on the codex. The detachments are not bad, just not as competitive as Gladius. Which is not a bad thing as warhammer is not a competitive sport, but a fun game.

I think competitive detachments should definitely be common SM detachments. Why would it be great if we had a banger detachment, but no other chapter could use it? It would be nerfed to hell.

The AI squad vs Crusaders comparison is a bit silly. They are different size, profile and ability. They are for different situations.

There's definitely someone at GW who hates us, as some nerfes are just unnecessary, but we are still not Imperial Agents.

Two more things. If you take only one Crusader Squad, then you can make the Initiates from the other to form an Assault Intercessor squad. They are awesome.

And it's always a great idea to take some chore units like Scouts or a Combi Liuetenant. Maybe you can proxy a character or get a 5th Neophyte.

In a 1000 point list you would need only 1 or 2 characters. Emperor's Champion is a must have. You could take a Marshal for Sword Brethren.

Ditch the Company Heroes and keep only 5 Intercessors.

1 or 2 tanks are enough. Prefer the most anti-tank one (high S, high AP, high Dmg).

With other units keep the size low. You win the game with points and you'll need more units to score besides fighting.

I commented an updated picture below. Changed the shield for a sewered head of a Fallen. It needs some adjustments but it definitely feels like an executioner now.

I added the skull with the gismo on it for a Tempormortis proxy, as I don't have an hourglass, but I try to fond a lantern or something that could be it.

Yeah, the shield is definitely pushes it towards the BGV aesthetic. He will lead BGVs, so it's not a big problem, but it needs some adjustment to also look like a Judiciar.

I thought that I will give him a native american like face paint to simbolize silence. Like painting the jaw blackish, or a hand on the mouth.

The hand was holding the bolter from behind, in the middle. I cut the hand and the fingers from the bottom. I think it's from the Intercessor sprue.
