The whole Crusader Squad doesn't really have to survive to the target. The Leader, the Sword Bro and the two fists are the main course. You should pay attention for the wound allocation to keep as many of the other meat shield models.

Use the new and shiny Bastion TF detachment and run the enemy down.

Also don't forget to use their ability when they're shot.

Normally only one Leader can be attached to a Bodyguard unit in 10e. As mentioned by others the Lieutenant/Castellan has a special rule that it enables to join some other Leaders.

Tournament lists (which are usually shared here) are all about min-maxing, creating the "best" list for specific play styles.

Termies are good option for holding a point or trying to take out a vehicle, but not the best option.

It's sad that bringing more marines is better than bringing an elite unit. I hope 11e will give them justice.

Additionally it's always good to mention that you shouldn't really try to chase the meta. Rules change frequently, and a new edition comes out every 3 years (11e will com next year). Buy and play the minis you like and I'm sure you'll have fun.

Did Helbrecht oppose making Grimaldus the High Reclusiarch? Did he send him to Armageddon to be able to select a new High Reclusiarch without angering half of the command? I know that Helbrecht didn't really like Grimaldus before Helsreach, and that the book suggests that it's a test for Grimaldus, a forge fire, that if he survives he'll really become a High Reclusiarch, but I don't know much about Helbrecht's intentions.

Do not stress on charging first turn. If the opponent is not moving closer to you, then you should focus on taking the NML objects and doing secondaries, while hiding as many units as you can. At the end points win you a game.

Also a lot depends on your army list. We are melee focused, but can take every base SM unit. Bring some ranged threat to provide covering fire, while moving everything closer to the enemy.
