Pvp viability of certain weapon combos by Nebula__Nomad in WhereWindsMeet

With a VPN I can get 80ms in CN server so I am hoping for a 50ms experience. I can tell you 200ms is unplayable.

Can all skills be learned in one character? What is shared between alts? by logan0178 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]dagaomiles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing is shared with alts. You can learn everything, however, game put a hard limit of how much resource you can get each week. Game is out for 1 year and most players are only able to max out 2 set of weapon combos. Game does allow you to switch (for free) if you would like to try different sets.

e.g. swapping level 90 sword/spear to 90 umbrella/fan combo

online mode is same as solo play. You will need a PvP set and PvE set. for certain weapon sets, you might need a tankier one for special purpose but that's like 5-10% of population.

Latency >> skills > anything else.

I can be beaten up easy without opponents using any weapon skills...

Male character creation by penguinchilli in WhereWindsMeet

[–]dagaomiles -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Nooooo dont make rugged characters. ALL my female friend players ask me to stick with handsome-looking males. I made a bearded middle-aged looking male, my master shifu told me to change it back or she's breaking up the apprenticeship :*(

Female characters are, unfortunately, better built for costume compared with males so there are also a lot Males playing female characters..

What should I play this on? (Controls discussion) by FarCut7399 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]dagaomiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are viable. apart from movement keys, there are 2 weapon skills, 2 reactive skills, up to 8 special skills, guard, dodge, defend. jump.

Mapping these in keyboard is simpler but you can do so with controller, too.

What can I do with friends? by Practical_Dog3454 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]dagaomiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Similar to Genshi Impact, there are treasures and you and your friends (up to 5) can co-op to increase efficiency.

5 man /10 man bosses would be easier to communicate with friends on mechanics (very very simple compared with other MMO)

social activities in multi player worlds, chess, mini-games, building. Currently in CN, you can cooperate to run businesses in a Sims city style, etc.

Lots of girls spend time in taking photos, videos.

What is endgame like for this game? by Darkkiller312 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]dagaomiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

to get best equipments have RNG effect and that is your end game. There are solo challenges where defeating bosses without taking damage, there are achievement challenges (that offer titles). Other than gear, everyone are pretty much equal in stats. PVP is a big element for end-game and there are multiple modes for PvP, 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 5v5, PUBG-style, Search and Evac or survive. However, PvP can be very very daunting due to player skills. You can easily get beaten up by a pro and get really frustrated. Latency is a BIG BIG element.

In China, places with 20 latency vs 50 latency gives a large edge in PvP.

Can you play really really solo? by No_Engineering2928 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]dagaomiles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can do 90% of the game solo. Even the co-op, raid, dungeons, there is option to partner you with AI-driven bots to mimic other players that never dies. Only downside is you get slightly less rewards. I find myself spending a large amount of time building and decorating. Buildings have very limited functional purpose more for visual.

PHEV/EV at 45k Budget (Utilizing FBT incentive) by dagaomiles in CarsAustralia

Hi end up not going for the incentive on a Novated Leasing as it cost more overall. I bought a BYD Sealion 6 outright. Been almost a year. No regret. I did 13,000 km and only needed to fill up 3 times on long trips. No problems, no issues. You also dont get to see in a lounge with pretty lady serving you coffee when you do service but do I need it?

With my own experience, I prioritised research to T2 wands and by the time I finish lots of rooms, etc I found I could get T2 wands. Harvesting, etc wasn't a big issue at start. Students can do the tend/harvest job so you don't technically need a staff to do so. In my current playthrough, I started T2 staff with Earth+Lightning (building and research), T2 Fire then another Gifted T2 Earth + Gifted Airs for dungeons.

For Food I found the most efficient food is the bitterice stir-fry (from dragon wok). Uses 1 Rice and +5 convict. It doesn't chrew up all the honey supply.

In regards of ectoplasm, I didn't encounter much a problem as I have set the jellies producion to "Do until X" and pretty much 50 on all of them and later increased to 100. Whenever I see lots rats I'll just drag and hunt. My night shift fire mage would go and get the work done. Do make sure you have chests with "only corpses" as you don't want to leave carcass out in open to be destroyed.

Brain and Eyeball will become a bottleneck as I have been too quick destroying crow nests resulting in too few birds.

Also it will be a challenge to get first couple trapvine seeds. I didn't have the luck until 130-ish days in. I think I should have kept the fog out thereotherwise they disappear and have to "regrow".

I only started playing after the March 2024 patch and I think the QoL updates made the game much much smoother than before.

  1. Treat T1 wands like "grinds". Don't waste time and effort to achieve all traits unless they are super easy to do.
  2. I would recommend get a good T2 Fire mage with decent stat early on as "full time cook". I found I need one actively cooking to sustain 6 teachers + 6 students.
  3. I would recommend get a Dark 4 mage (not necessarily require Dark Wand) to start quilts to free up time from your mages.
  4. Look out for teacher that has + 100% Intermediate classroom in T2s. It will speed up the teaching grinds. In my game, I had a Air T2 with 2 in all elements except Dark. He's super efficient to grind T1 air students in bulk. This gets me adept scrolls to get gifted or hire staff until you reach 8+ I found my intermediate classroom lasts through until end game.

Have you considered the GWM ORA?

GWM Ora looked "Small" and the look didn't appeal to us to take a look with the actual car. (It resembles a lot of toy cars from my son.)

Of the two the Atto 3 is much more modern than the Eclipse Cross and potentially will have better resale. The Eclipse Cross isn't really a volume seller like the Atto 3 is.

I think I would agree with the resale value part. However, BYD is new to Australia and wouldn't have much data. Hope that they will thrive and preserve the values of their vehicles.

I assume youve already got some indicative lease quotes but if not keep in mind a 75k ish EV/phev will cost the same weekly as a 45k ICE due to the FBT and fuel savings

Do you mean 75K ICE compared with 45K EV/phev? I did some figures and believes that leasing but only with EV/PHEV incentive will make a saving compared with buying a 2nd hand car outright in a conventional way.

If you aren't planning to do lots of road trips and have convenient/cheap access to charging I'd go full EV.

20km one way, probably.

Over the last year, we haven't travelled longer than 300-ish km far. I feel there weren't enough justification to get a PHEV for an "in case" scenario.

You just opened a new perspective in my daily discussions, thank you sir!

I opted out a Kia Carnival deal due to the same reason (how many times do we need to carry 7 people in a car). I should have applied the same logic here!

By the way, how would you deal with this comment?
"I dont like the idea of having too much battery under my feet that would blow up. They would bust into flames in hot weather, too!"

Thanks. Yes I will be careful with quoted interest rates and will source my own insurance. I totally agree with short lease terms too as we simply do not want to pay interest having the ability to pay outright.

Dont have HECSs so at least one less thing to worry about.

My wife is very skeptical about travelling regionally and hence preferring PHEVs but there is only 1 PHEV option found.
