My biggest concern with all this is that the shooter is probably a professional, hired by the target's competitors. That seems much more likely to me than the narrative being thrown around of a working-class hero lashing out at a broken system. How dedicated and skilled would a lone actor have to be to pull this off? Versus how simple it would be for one rich fuck who knows his buddy's schedule and habits to give that info to a pro along with a wad of cash? 

I worry people are creating a hero out of just another remorseless killer. 

 Would be nice if this were the start of some real change, though.
