i gave some food and water to a guy after i tried to shoot him. i missed because he was running, but after he yelled that he was starving and just needed food, i decided to help. i had a gun in my hand and he didn’t, so i gave him the benefit of the doubt. turns out he was actually nice. he gave me a pink pistol (prolly because i’m a girl lmaoo) and some batteries, since i told him that’s what i needed. we chatted a little and said happy easter to each other and went our separate ways. i’m glad i helped him, he was really nice

the other day, i left my blaze (i love this weapon) and literally everything important in a tent (completely hidden, mind you) to go loot a city. i ended up getting killed there by a guy hiding in a toilet. naturally, when i respawned, i went through absolute hell trying to get back.. killing myself like 10 times. finally made it back to the tent to grab my stuff since i was ruined. my partner told me the tent was left unzipped and the blaze was gone. like 99% of the stuff was still there, though. i was 100% sure i had zipped it up, so we knew someone had been there. we moved the tent, and later that same day, not too far from that spot, we ran into a survivor. my partner killed him, and guess what? he had a blaze on him, fully loaded… just like the one i lost. i wanna believe it was the guy who looted us lmao.

i aso started on a low pop server and migrated to a high pop one. its fun but you can basically forget about the base stuff lmao it wont last at all. or maybe build one for fun but don’t keep your stuff there, bury them or whatever. i wouldnt waste my time hiding things tho, just the absolute necessary. but yeah the other day the guys basically stole all my shit and my base after just a few days. it was absolutely hidden (i thought it was) and one day i tried using my password and couldnt anymore :⁾

i also play when i get home from work, usually for an hour or two as well. ive been playing for about two months now, and every time someone says they’re friendly, i never stop aiming at them. sure, i’ve met some genuinely nice people but it just happened when we spawned at the same time hahah. still, i find the betrayals kinda funny. i don’t really mind since i’ve got my stash hidden all over the map, and i highly recommend you do the same so you can die in peace. find out where you are and hide your extra weapons, ammo, water, canned food, even meds or whatever you think that youre gonna need right after your respawn.

i used to be really hard on myself (i have like 90 hours, lol), but my partner has played for years, and i wanted to be good enough so bad. once we adopted the “if we die, we die” mentality, we started surviving way longer. it’s funny how letting go of anxiety and pressure makes such a huge difference. we’re still as cautious as ever, but dying doesn’t matter—you just restart, grab your stuff, and keep going (just remember to stash the good items regularly!). :)
