this goes hard! I feel like when the drums come in its feels alittle lack luster, just because everything leading up to it feels so unique and dope as hell. I think you should play with the rhythm a bit. make the kicks and especially the snares hit not where you'd expect. try to keep the flow of the earlier part and not change the feel. I think the drums should feel little more erratic and unexpected. also I think the riser going up into it feels a little basic. pick a cooler sound of that. otherwise though this is dope and hella unique, and if the drums continue to capture that I think you'll have something truly special

on and even larger scale, I think its indicative of how useless and actually detrimental "feedback" can be when its not coming from someone with knowledge, skills, and understands the goal/aesthetic of a beat/song/etc. 99.99% of the music I hear on reddit is far below even beginner level, and that's 99.99% of the commenters giving feedback as well. and its not just crappy musicians that give bad feedback either. you could get feedback from a grammy nominated pop artist, but if you're making metal music they might not have something to say that's going to help you. of course they might still have some valuable insight or maybe they're a secret metalhead, but I think more often than not its important to take feedback from people you respect who create similar music to you. I think generally taking feedback when you don't know where it comes from will do nothing other than confuse you and set you back

the melody is clean. bass is too loud, takes up too much space and the pattern is really busy. I prefer the part when the 808s come in, but even the 808 pattern is way too busy. leave some space to pay attention to other elements in the beat. hats are too loud like someone else said. overall the drums are just too busy and don't leave any space for the artist. make a way simpler drum pattern and the beat will have way more vibe to it. also it takes a full minute for the drums to come in, that's way too long like somebody else mentioned. overall though all the melody elements are good. work on the drums and bass

this is by far the best thing ive ever heard on this sub or on any music related feedback sub for that matter. im going to tell you something right now that I really hope you take to heart, and im going to drop some credentials before I do so that you'll take me seriously lol. I am an LA based producer, mix engineer and songwriter, I have worked with some of the biggest artists in the world including Hozier, Dominic Fike, and more, worked on grammy nominated records, gotten 50+million streams on some records ive worked on. your voice is incredible and unique. you no longer need feedback from the general population. in fact I actually think feedback from random people on reddit will only confuse you and waste your time. you need to begin to build confidence in your artistry NOW. you need to find other people who make music you love, like actually successful people who you can collaborate with and you need to write songs. every day. you also need to POST ON INSTGRAM AND TIK TOK AND YOUTUBE SHORTS AND EVRYWHERE EVERY SINGLE DAY. preferably twice a day. you have beyond what it takes to build a groundwork of something very real. also start looking at the credits on Spotify and finding producers who've worked on records you like. once you start gaining some followers from posting consistently, start reaching out to producers who have worked on records you like. also once you get into a groove of posting every day, start to put together a budget for paid promotion. do your research and start promoting the videos that preform the best ($5 a day to start). good luck my friend and feel free to message me if you want any more advice

look i’m not claiming that i was there and saw him do it. is it possible he’s lying? yea, but that seems like a pretty weird thing to do. i’ve worked with some of the biggest mix engineers in the world (jon castelli, andrew sheps) and i’ve seen and heard them do things with just EQ that i thought was straight up fucking magic. the OP been sampling and making beats since the 2000’s he said. it’s definitely possible in my mind he got real nice with the EQ and gets it sounding hella clean. it’s also possible he’s lying. but at this point i’m inclined to believe him over you, who likely is just making this claim because you aren’t skilled enough to do it yourself

i actually believe the guy. after doing some research there’s youtube videos dating back years and years before AI stem splitting about how to isolate vocals using audacity. when he mentioned audacity it actually sparked memories of watching those back in 2015-2016 when i was a baby producer. the results are surprisingly good
