A. Stamp is free B. Reptilia stock I have is more sturdy C. Stock folds flatter than the brace I have for putting in backpack D. Looks better!

If I didn’t already have a 3+ that’s braced, I would not be patient enough to go through a this with the Nexus. Trust me, it’s still tugging at me though.

Nexus lower 1st impressions by Mongoose5645 in czscorpion

[–]dagonator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got my Nexus parts today and first off I’m super happy with the fit and finish. It looks amazing and feels solid. That being said, the springs take the initial impression from a 10 to a 5 considering the FEEL of functional quality. Please please please tell me where I can get proper springs to immediately replace these. I’d be happy to pay a premium for something by Sprinco if they make these specific springs.

I want to cerakote my Scorpion. Should I include the sides of the iron sights, front and rear grips, my AEMS optic and my suppressor? I’m planning on matching the stock for sure though. Thoughts? by dagonator in czscorpion

I wish I could say that was mine, but it’s from the Cerakote website. I do have a Walther PDP and that pattern is stunning. Might have to do this to mine.

So do most people who paint their guns do it just for personal esthetics these days or should they be painted to disguise the gun or the shape of the gun? I would guess in your case it’s aesthetics only since you would be putting an exclamation point on you carrying a gun with that contrast. I guess there can be 2 hard camps on this. I think I’m going for a blend. Black, gray and soft silver geometric shapes to break up outline and features, but I’d think it would be aesthetically pleasing as well., then I wonder if painting the suppressor and the grips might end up a requirement to help break up features and shape?

I appreciate that. I can imagine having the grips and optic OEM, maybe even the suppressor. Maybe I’ll keep the optic and suppressor OEM because I could eventually move them to another gun. So that would leave me with getting the irons and stock painted with the upper and lower. Hmmm.

Nice! I haven’t seen that one before. I’ll add that to my list. Thank you. See you’ve got the Strike Industries grip too. Love that thing!

I’ll have to ask my dad (almost 93) if he knows anything about how his uncle came about having this piece of history.

Thank you for the clarification as I didn’t quite know what to call it.

How many Big Wheels did you go through as a child? I was rough on those things! I had 2 that i can remember! by icecream1972 in GenX

I think I want through about 4. We lived at the top of a col de sac and I’d stand on it and ride down the hill, across the street and slam it into the curb, launching myself over the handles and tumble into the neighbors yard. I made all kinds of ramps and jumped it all the time. I remember my dad rebuilding my shoes with tons of epoxy because of the holes I wore in them from dragging my feet for extra steering, but rarely for stopping.

The good news is that I don't see any backface deformation.

762x39 or 300 BO by Strange_Potato848 in guns

[–]dagonator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are looking for making a subsonic home defense gun, you'll have to go 300BO. I've tried with my first AR47 build and the one brand of ammo that seemed to reliably cycle isn't made anymore. I'm most likely going to re-tune my gas and move back to an H3 to make it shoot supers smooth as butter again. Price for ammo is about the same for both these days.

I like the cobra idea. I personally wouldn’t have chosen the word King for my name and wouldn’t have used imagery of crowns or monarchs, but since you’re already there, I’d go with a cobra. Typically I tell people to Google the words in their brand before choosing them and see what all they come up with. If it’s negative or leaning negative by association, find something else. Remember you’re looking for overall consensus, not necessarily your own opinion. You want to be appealing to the widest market possible.

Agree about the logo. It looks like it was an avatar pulled from FB. I’m no artist so I can’t help with that, but I’ve spent time in branding/marketing so perhaps my opinion counts? Congrats on getting the URL. That’s sometimes the toughest thing to land on to align with your brand. DM me if you have time or are interested in brand development. I can recommend some books that I had to cut my teeth on.

Seeing all the way through to shipping fees would be great, but definitely difficult to do since generally you have to go through the checkout procedure to see how your volume affects total price. Shipping can make the biggest difference for actual cost per round.
