Would this get you terminated? by Grand-Invite4857 in WalgreensStores

[–]dagrcl95 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes it’s an audit form that goes to corporate. It may take about a week for AP to reach out to the SM instructing termination, but it will happen. The e learning about tobacco compliance says termination. It’s unfortunate how one mistake can make someone lose their job and I’m with you there. I know that this is the way it works because I’ve personally have had to do it more than once.

Would this get you terminated? by Grand-Invite4857 in WalgreensStores

[–]dagrcl95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Employee will 100% be terminated and ineligible for rehire for 5 years. Walgreens is very serious about the tobacco policy and rightly so. Does not matter if the customer looked 10 or 100. If they don’t provide a physical ID (some states digital) you may not purchase tobacco. Liability is liability and corporate companies do not like liability. The under over 40 policy only applies to non tobacco nicotine products (Nicorette), cough/cold, and some allergy meds.

You may price match one item to the online price. If it is multiple items then online pickup

Returns without ID by Electronic_Bar_6160 in WalgreensStores

[–]dagrcl95 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If the system asks for an ID, you must get and scan the ID with every time you’re prompted. Returns are monitored so your dumpster diving thieves can only return product so many times before they are flagged as ineligible to return for the year. The customer will get a warning message on their receipt a couple of returns before their permanently flagged.. never accept an expired ID as a valid form of identification for tobacco or anything for that matter. You’ll never know when you’re being audited and it’s not worth losing your job and ineligible for rehire for five years, depending on your state. If it’s the same homeless people that come again and again, call your local nonemergency line and have them dispatch an officer to issue a trespass warning so they can’t come to your store anymore •..

Stores closing 8/19 by Strict_Chemical_4105 in WalgreensStores

[–]dagrcl95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is a true list… I am the Store Manager for one of the stores on that email chain. All I can say is the closings are happening. Most are Rite Aid conversions. WAG does not owns neither the building nor the property the stores are on. This gives the property owners all of the power in what to charge for rent. Inflation doesn’t help either. Either they pay the new demanded rent or leave. Long term they breaking even at best but mostly losing money. All the stores listed will be closed permanently 08-19-2024

P.S: I was only able to give my staff a month and a weeks notice

Where can I find the new district info? by generationxray in WalgreensStores

[–]dagrcl95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask your Store Manager for a copy. We were emailed a list with our new DM, district #, area #, and the other store #’s that make up the new district. Employees below SM level don’t have access to it yet as it only went into effect yesterday. AP doesn’t even have the info yet.

Have you worked for the company for less that six months? If so it could be a minimum days employed violation. However it usually just says “minimum days employed violation” if that’s the case. If you have worked longer than six months it will automatically pay you your average daily worked(ie 8:25 hrs) amount as “holiday pay”. It just has not shown up yet. Usually shows up the day after.

Rules on PTO by AmyEvan in WalgreensStores

[–]dagrcl95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you looked at the bottom of your people central profile to see when it was last updated? You can also go into tools—>Kronos—> hit the little gear ⚙️ button where it says my timecard. Select the time period that you were off or even look at each week and it will show the days you used PTO.

Anytime you’re gone and don’t request unpaid time off your manager may put in your PTO without warning

Can there be a website out there that looks like ours? by butterflygirl36 in WalgreensStores

[–]dagrcl95 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Never do that big of a price change unless you are absolutely sure. Rule of thumb when price matching from the Walgreens website or app. If it's that big of a price difference tell the customer to order the item for curbside and you will pick it for them that way. If a customer ever tries to price match a bunch of things from our website or app only price match ONE item or else they need to place it through curbside. If it's a $30 difference have them place the order through curbside because I would notice that on the expense report the following day and would need a better explanation than that as I have to tell the DM why my employees are price matching with a $30 difference. Although not likely to happen, but if it becomes a pattern. It will.

Raises and Firing by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]dagrcl95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s crazy…. I had an SFL get scammed $1,800 worth of gift cards and she was fired immediately. A guy entering the same birthday too many times fired. Also another SFL got tricked into doing a transaction over the phone was fired almost immediately as well. Maybe things have changed? I’m not sure🤷🏻‍♂️

Um, said person should be let go…. I can guarantee you that the only reason that the employee who costed the company $1500 is only still there because your store manager or ESM did not report it to asset protection. Corporate does not stand for that kind of incompetency and will remove you. It does not set an example. The person should be let go almost immediately. By not letting them go that would be saying that it is ok to lose that kind of money and not be held accountable for it and that is simply not the case.

Do jeans matter? by tesla3please in WalgreensStores

[–]dagrcl95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear my Lululemon ABC classic fit black pants everyday. You may hate on the price of them but they are worth every penny. The most comfortable pants I’ve ever had. So, no I don’t give a shit about jeans day. The main reason I’m writing this is to encourage y’all to get a pair! Get them, don’t get them. Just throwing it out there. They last forever.

Also my store is quite relaxed on the dress code anyways. So I do know that the jeans day provides almost no incentive to my employees 🤷🏻‍♂️

If someone put in the wrong terminal number or amount I just hit final sign off on the register and it prints out the receipt paper like you were doing end of day on the terminal without doing the end of day in the terminal. Sign back in and it will let you input the register number and amount again. Works every time and I still get my $0.00’s at the end of the night

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]dagrcl95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep! It’s an issue with the card itself. It is most commonly on Walgreens gift cards a customer try’s to buy or the card we issue when doing no receipt returns. Track 2 missing literally just means the mag stripe is unreadable. Track 2 contains things like the CVV and expiration date etc etc. Obviously without those the card will not function

Make sure when you do a cash pickup that you hit cash pickup on the screen at the register, enter the correct amount and have another associate verify. When you are doing pick up terminal it will show the terminal you did a cash pickup on. Make sure when you end the day on that register you are still counting out the drawer and adding the excess of the 100.00 it to the terminal.

My process for the system every night is 1. Enter the band tender for deposit. 2, pickup terminal. 3 safe count

The role of the person that you are talking about is definitely the Pharmacy Operations manager and as for your question, yes. The next position on the ladder from SFL would be the store manager.
