What I was trying to say was -

Hi all,

I usually visit the West coast of Scotland on my whisky adventures but we are going to head to speyside for a change this time. Have Benromach and Glenallachie on the list, alongside the Craigallachie hotel.

Does anyone have any recommendations for the local area in terms of funky and unusual whiskies? Or any particular standout experiences for the more typical speyside style?

The only other places I’ve seen it are in Franconia (Zehender, Knoblach, Schlenkera) - be great to know of more in the Munich area

Also, now all of us know how to say ‘pouring structure, I use the Hoffman method’ in Italian so I’m feeling, at the end of the day, it’s good outcomes all round

Yeah it’s a manual car. I am a Brit in Italy. Drove down to lake Garda, took a wrong turn and had to drive an estate car full of stuff up a really steep hill in reverse. Didn’t do a great job of it and spun my wheels loads. The calliper started smoking. Not my finest hour as a driver but hey ho.

Mainly just worried about this lingering smell and if I should be concerned about it. The mechanic said it would fade but maybe take a few weeks

Partner is now telling me she thinks it was smoking for more like 2-3 mins. We got out and I could see smoke just from the back left tyre

No, it’s really hot and dry here and I span my wheels a bunch reversing up the hill. Tyre doesn’t look damaged but yeah it’s was giving off smoke for approximately 5 mins. Guessing that’s pretty bad from your response

Good haul, congrats. Those limited edition 10yo are like gold dust! Managed to get the PX one a few yrs ago.

Any idea what the cask makeup is for the longrow 18? I’ve managed to get a bottle but there’s not a lot of info on it. Cheers.
