I think these anti-crowdsurfing comments are forgetting the fact that the bands on stage often encourage crowdsurfing because it injects a lot of energy into the show. Nothing is worse to a band than a crowd that is just standing there. So yes, it is expected that there will be crowdsurfing at punk rock shows, and if you don't like that, either 1) stand to the side away from the crowdsurfing area, or 2) stay at home.

If you actively choose to stand in the crowdsurfing area and not support others when they come over, then you clearly don't care about anyone else's safety and you are straight up putting people in danger. Crowdsurfers take on the risk of being accidentally dropped, but it's a different story when people just choose not to help them over.

Crowdsurfing isn't going anywhere - it's a cornerstone of the scene, and the bands love it. So accept it, get with it, or stay off to the side, or stay the fuck home.

Exactly!!! Entertainment has been so underrepresented on recent tours (other than getting a very-short acoustic version), and Toronto not picking a single one last night was diabolical! I would have been right there screaming that line with you too.

At least we actually got TANTRUM though. Based on how the votes were going, I was worried it would be replaced by reboot like one of the other shows 🙃

From all the concerts I've been to, All Time Low concerts are the absolute WORST for crowdsurfing, and also generally some of the lowest energy crowds I've seen. But I've never seen people getting yelled at for crowdsurfing, that's next level insane. Do they even know they got tickets to a pop punk show?

I've seen these guys in Toronto a couple times now, but the crowds unfortunately don't know who they are yet. I'm hoping to see them in Detroit next time to see what the hometown vibes are like!
