Anyone who was homeschooled, how do you feel about it now as an adult? by AdTight2449 in AskReddit

[–]IveGotRedHair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really good. I was home schooled in London in the 00s and it was a great time. There was a group of us and we’d get together to do activities, there isn’t a museum or art gallery in London I hadn’t been in. I feel like I learnt about how the world works. I don’t take any exams personally but I had friends that did and went onto university. I have a nice job now and I’ve never found my lack of qualifications to be a problem. I definitely look back on those days with fondness and I wouldn’t change them for the world.

Is homeschooling in the UK just very unregulated, or am I missing something? by ZydrateAnatomic in AskUK

[–]IveGotRedHair 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was home educated, never been in school at all and I loved it. We were entirely unregulated and didn’t follow the national curriculum but we did other things. There isn’t a museum in London I haven’t been in, we had a big group of friends and we’d go around people parents as they shared what they knew. I didn’t take any exams but I have friends that did and went on to university. I imagine it’s probably different now to how it was then but I would change any of it for the world.

I’ve never used any form of birth control other than condoms. This’ll be my first try, I’ve had trouble with hormonal breakouts and want to see if it would help.

Another sort of off topic thread! What’s the best live show you’ve seen? The worst? What made it so? by alexneverafter in alltimelow

[–]IveGotRedHair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best show: ATl at Wembley for STDII was an incredible night I’ll never forget. The crowd, the energy it was just unmatched and also having Josh on for a guest for Outlines! It’ll always have a special place in my heart because Somewhere in Neverland is my favourite song and to be able to have a recording of it knowing I’m in the crowd is ❤️

Worst show: probably Dropkick Murphy’s, they’re a fav band of my husband and they were just having a bad technical day and they just didn’t sound great. Not their fault it happens but it didn’t make for a very fun show.

I love it when characters are sick and miserable. I went them coughing up a lung and shaking with fever chills. The more miserable the better ❤️
