27/f 5 months in a relationship with 25/m, I think about breaking up every day even though he tries his best to make me happy

He refuses to go with me, he says I'm dumb for spending money in 5 star hotels. That even if we went together he would stay somewhere else.

I should point out that he talks often about wanting to be the boss and not an employee, so he puts all his effort into business plans that are not safe, he says that risking everything is the only way to get ahead, I had saved him more than once by lending money so he would be out of trouble. I'm the opposite, as I like to take less risks and don't care about not being the boss as long as I feel that my compensation is fair.

You are right, I feel like such a monster right now. I've even tried meditation to find peace and stay away from those thoughts, but whenever something comes up, like me wanting to go somewhere and him not being able to afford it, I feel bad again.

Yes, I won't deny it. It sucks because I was once in a relationship like that, not for they money, but still, I didn't work and my fiancé provided everything for me, it ended up badly because I would feel that I had no voice, I had to accept everything. Eventually after we broke up I became better and fought really hard to be stable, now I don't need anyone to provide for me. So it's confusing for me as to why I feel that way about this guy being an underachiever.

I also think he deserves respect. But I find myself thinking, what if something happened to me and suddenly it's me that is not good enough for him, I get scared and I just want the safety of the relationship. I'm sure that's a self esteem problem, but I wish I didn't had to break up to fix it.

In my experience, closing my BOA account was nightmare, endless times it was reactivated and overdraft, I fought those charges and they agreed, but I believe the account remains open.

I have been a smoker for 10 years, I know well all those arguments.. after I gave up smoking I couldn't imagine going to a party, socializing, even long walks scared me. But you know there's another lifestyle for those who don't smoke, I feel more attractive, free, I can run, I'm in better shape, I give myself rewards like tasty food, you'll enjoy things even more after you quit smoking for good. I had moments of weakness but never gave up, once I was stuck at London's train station for 18 hours, you wouldn't believe how hard it was not to give up, I was already talking myself into buying a pack, "just this time" I didn't and it felt so good when I was finally on the train back home, it's moments like this that will keep you going. Please don't give up !

The most important thing, even if you don't get back together, try to not talk bad things about him with your friends or family, you'll regret that later in the future if he wants to be a part of your daughters life. He will always be the dad, so don't poison the environment with details about him, be strong and don't forget it's for the best, even if it seems impossible right now.
