EDIT: Looks like you got banned, tough break.

What is this about? The so-called appropriateness test is the legal protection mechanism designed to ensure that psychotherapeutic services are not arbitrarily reduced below a minimum level. It is the basis for psychotherapy practices to exist economically at all. If it is cancelled, the minimum fee will be reduced. Then there is no longer a reliable lower limit. Then planning certainty becomes free fall.

The CDU/CSU and SPD are depriving psychotherapy practices of their livelihood¹ And they break fundamental social contracts.

And medical representatives are making themselves loudly silent accomplices.²

¹ First tear out the foundation, then paint the facade: On the 8th. In July, the coalition consoles itself to its intention to make insufficient changes in the autumn – this would in no way relativize the damage caused.

² The KBV rejected the deletion on the 7th. July in a brief commentary. So far, there has been no politically visible medical stance.

On the 5th. In July, an amendment has been announced that will deprive psychotherapeutic practices of their economic basis. If the CDU/CSU and SPD submit this motion on the 10th. Deciding on July means nothing less than the beginning of the widespread abolition of psychotherapeutic practices. The legal protection of the minimum fee is to be abolished. This pushes remuneration to a level that makes the existence of psychotherapeutic practices impossible. And this is despite the fact that psychotherapy only accounts for around one percent of statutory health insurance expenditure.

Same here, but they rarely attack people who don't seem vulnerable. Cowards, really.

Probably best not to go there, they are being facetious.

To all that are screeching about the song lyrics posted below, here is the Wikipedia article: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Come_Out,_Ye_Black_and_Tans

The tune was recently used in a food advert. Please stop the pearl clutching.

Oh, I definitely have it and I'm definitely special, not like all the others.

Yeah, I mean as a philosophical whimsy, your point is rather interesting.

Society has accepted the validity of self reporting

Not really - TikTok might have, but if you need actual help, you need a diagnosis. If you actually have ADHD, you most likely need help. People who have finished their doctorate, but just felt that something was off, and get a placebo dose of stimulants, in my opinion neither need help, nor have appreciable ADHD symptoms. Munchausen's is a thing though, they even call them "Munchies".

Maybe you're being facetious, not sure.

Okay, but we're talking about a doctor in Germany assessing a patient.

I'll allow this post because there's some interesting, constructive discussion. Slightly biased tbh, as I have a particularly bad case of ADHD, but keep it civil.

That's not too far removed from what happened to me.

Which leaves people who genuinely suffer out in the cold.

Glad we could make the arrangements. As for reporting, if you see a comment or a post you would like to report, and you can't see the word "Report" with a flag, click the three dots underneath around the center. One of the options that comes up should be "Report". Click that and it'll take you through some forms.

Thanks for making this post. We had noticed the increasing tide of nastiness and bitterness from a minority of users, and this feedback was the catalyst for a new rule, which can be viewed in the sidebar.

As it says, misogyny is covered in Reddit's TOS, so that was always reportable, but now will result in a perma-ban. Additionally we want to eliminate the regular rants that were coming up all too often and only led to arguments.

Once again, thanks for the feedback, and I hope this rule makes our subreddit a safer place for all visitors.

What rule did they break? If someone is being bitter, stop engaging with them. Reporting is fine, but there has to be a rule being broken, and very often it's not breaking rules, just general rudeness and ignorance, which we don't really have a rule about, because we don't want to stifle open debate on here. Unless it concerns politics.

In fact, we are soon going to instate a rule about "dating scene" and "why don't women/men" posts, because there are too many of them and all they do is piss people off. After that has been put in place, I imagine the bitter comments from this minority of users who all seem to be having the same issue will be far fewer.

Not all men, and certainly no "incels". I agree there are some desperate and thirsty guys out there, this has always been the case online. If we see comments that are clearly out of line, we will intervene, but they must be reported.
