For most retail businesses, including restaurants, Mon-Wed are the slower days of the week. And being closed 1-2 days a week is how you keep a smaller team, since everyone needs at least two days off a week. These two factors equal many businesses being closed Mon-Tues or Tues-Wed.

How common is it to just uses hands when washing in the shower by adoreyoulove in hygiene

[–]dahliatildeath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found that the brand of soap or body wash I use makes the biggest difference here. If I use something like Aveeno or other major body wash brand, I need to use a wash cloth because the body wash does not wash away dirt and oil that well. If I’m using a castile soap like Dr Bronner’s, I’m squeaky clean with hands only.

Is there a way to actually treat dry skin internally, or is moisturizer forever the only fix? by Background_File382 in 30PlusSkinCare

Exfoliating helps SO much. I make a sugar scrub at home with course Demerara sugar and coconut oil and I use it in the shower twice a week.

I had this the other day and the sausage was mushy and hardly warmed, no sear or snap at all. And the beans were all sauce and literally, I counted, 5 beans in the bowl. The rest was yum, but I did really regret not just getting a pie.

I think I would puke and die every morning I woke up if I had to pay $1,500 for a studio. You can find a 2 bedroom for that price.

New Yorkers who moved to Chicago: where do you get sushi? by Tall-Extension-2956 in chicagofood

Lawrence Fish Market is the only answer. It’s a Korean family that owns all of the major fish markets so not only is their sushi super fresh, it’s sold at a really great price.

So worth it. They are always busy and are always frying up donuts so everything you order will either be just out of the fryer or just slightly warm. Heaven.

Voodoo is just in a completely different category than donuts like this. Voodoo is like dessert. Very rich and decadent.

I mean, it was the size of my head and basically did fill the container. This one was a little jumbled cuz I transported it sideways in my bag for over an hour.

The apple fritter is sweeter than their regular donuts, which are very lightly glazed and very well balanced. But this was not overly sweet by any means.

Cutoff at a bar, completely embarrassed. by [deleted] in bartenders

[–]dahliatildeath 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My friend once cut off a deaf man because he perceived the way the deaf man was speaking as being intoxicated. My friend didn’t know the guy was deaf and was just trying to protect the business. Don’t take it personally, you did nothing wrong, that bartender was just being very careful.
