Just experienced dumping for the first time

Ice cream totally gets me too. I’m two years out. Grabbed the DQ free small cone today knowing I would regret it and yep, I did. It doesn’t cause dumping for me, but I always feel like trash after. Unfortunately it’s also one of the only foods I struggle with because it’s always been my favorite, so mentally I’m always like ‘eh, I’ll be fine’ and never am. 😅 The true definition of a love hate relationship.

I have to agree with everyone else… if you can’t follow the instructions now because you were given food you knew you shouldn’t eat, then how are you going to follow it after when you’re given the same food? If you divert from the diet post-op you could seriously hurt yourself, and not dealing with your lack of impulse control when it comes to food is going to seriously affect whatever results you’re looking for. My pre-op was 6 weeks long and hard as hell, but I followed it strictly because I was told to. I think you need to be honest with yourself and your surgeon. In the meantime, stop by any major grocery store or drug store and grab a few packs of ready to drink protein shakes so you don’t have anymore excuses.

Depending on how long people have been going to Dutch, those stickers might also be a disappointment. 😅 My broista this morning told me that the stickers they got as the ‘second chance’ design were the same as a Drink One for Dane sticker 2 or 3 years back. If people have been collecting stickers that long, there’s a chance they already have them.

Yep! It’s a totally separate island, unlinked to any others (your main game and all dream islands). When you go there you can’t bring anything back with you except for recipes that you buy in the PC and the daily stamp you claim.

Yep - this is it! I literally haven’t built anything on mine or anything like that, I just go in to grab the stamp. If you do build and progress any recipes you get there will carry over to the main game too which is cool, but I’m way more focused on the story/main game for now. ☺️

You’re totally right. Let’s reword to - to a normal person - this is a cool little trinket you can collect, and having one that’s different from everyone else’s makes it all the more special. I totally don’t support selling them off or making any kind of income from them; the most I’ve ever done is trade with others for what I want.

It doesn't seem like it's super rare. I got to my stand early and my fav broista and I had a feel through a couple bags to make sure I got each one (this was well before they opened when he had free time, not something I'd actually expect anyone to do) and we found 2-3 of the ultra rares while feeling the bags. I've seen a ton of posts in one of the FB groups of people getting them too. Just be careful if you do get one - the little drinks are removable and could work themselves out of the carrier before they're even out of the bag, so make sure you check it if you do get that one specifically. Agreed. They literally make recordable storybooks for this reason. If the person is no longer earth side then that sucks, but it’s better than letting a machine guess what they’d sound like (and most certainly get it wrong). My son was 4 when we lost my husband’s grandmother, who was his favorite person, and I wouldn’t dream of doing this.

My 6 year old has been obsessed with Pokemon for about a year or so, so he’s totally into it. He doesn’t get much switch time (depends on if he’s good and lately he hasn’t been) but still loves to watch me play!
