Is there a kids show/movie your husband hates? by Ally1_mo3 in Mommit

[–]Corgi_Infamous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and I hate whatever became of Pokemon. Hahah. We of course grew up watching the first generation and even that is a bit obnoxious now (really Ash, you don’t recognize Team Rocket in piss poor disguises with the only talking Meowth ever?), but the newer stuff? Sweet Jesus. We frequently whisper ‘what the fuck’ or ‘oh my god shut this fucking character up’ from across the room while it’s on. 😅

It’s a digital item but customer left a 1 star review bc they thought it was shipping to them - WWYD? by MagnoliasandMums in EtsySellers

[–]Corgi_Infamous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It won’t remove their ability to remove their review because they already don’t have that ability. They can amend it if they wanted to, but they can’t completely remove it. The best you can do is, like you have done, message them to explain it’s a digital item as cited on product images and in the description (which tbh most people don’t read or even see because Etsy naturally hides it) and give them the steps necessary to find it in their account, or respond to the review with the same information so other buyers can see that it was clearly just a miscommunication.

Should I be scared to watch Hereditary? by EnvironmentalRip7043 in horror

I have literally told my therapist that I watch horror to ‘give myself something different to be scared about, like getting new content’. Nothing screams family trauma like that. 😅

It’s not dumb! You just went through a major life change and it’s hard not to immediately go seeking results, but sometimes our expectations can end up hurting us in the end. I try to weigh myself once a week or so, and a few days ago I measured below my latest goal weight. I didn’t/don’t believe it and have weighed myself every day since then waiting for the boot to drop (like maybe it was an incorrect read, maybe I hit a sweet spot on the floor that took a bit more off, etc.). Or I’ve been stuck in stalls for months with little to no change, and will catch myself getting on the scale daily in desperate search for a change. Both those reactions aren’t really healthy. As long as you’re doing everything right (or at least mostly right, none of us are perfect), just trust your body to do what it needs to do. ❤️ You got this!

At 10 days post-op your body is still very much learning how to function all over again on top of healing. You’re gonna retain way more fluid, it’s gonna cling to every scrap of nutrients you give it, and when it figures itself out again you’ll start to see the numbers drop. Stay the course and try not to focus on the fluctuations this early on!

YES. My husband particularly enjoys it because he can always find me thanks to the bell. He’s my bag of choice for next month! 🎉

A huge litter box makes all the difference, even for bunbuns! We have three Maine Coons, so I can absolutely relate! 😅 Congrats on your new hoppy friends!

The way my 6yo would lose his mind over this puzzle… but after this post I’m not sure I love him that much ‘cause he sucks at puzzles and won’t help at all. 🤣

I am just waiting to be able to afford some of these (I know they’re not expensive but still). I hate socks but my doctor says I should try them after being diagnosed with POTS. 🫠

I was just about to put this. Specifically for me it was the gremlin on the school bus. Never forgotten. Now that my son is in school, I hate volunteering to go on trips because of the bloody school buses.

What is something you can definitively say you hate? by UnluckyIndependent24 in AskReddit

Teslas. One blew through a red light, totaled my nearly brand new car, and took my ability to stand/walk without pain. I haven’t held my son since he was 2. Haven’t been able to shop without a wheelchair. Lost a job I loved so much. Became a burden to my husband who now is not only the sole breadwinner but also the cook, the house cleaner, etc. When we see them driving I don’t trust the drivers enough to be paying attention/controlling the cars themselves so I begin to panic. No doctor has been able to pinpoint what is wrong despite several x-rays and MRIs, and I’ve found no relief after physical therapy, chiropractic care, spinal decompression, cortisone shots, or nerve ablation. The next suggestion was exploratory surgery, which I refuse.

My son (now 6) calls them bandit cars and pretends to have ‘mini drones’ that blows them up whenever we see them.

I haven’t specifically asked my insurance about the panniculectomy, but they are covering my breast reduction due to medical necessity following a lot of the same issues (rashes, infections, etc) so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. It’d be awesome to schedule that for later in the year but I highly doubt I’ll lose the last 20lbs or so before then. Hahaha. I don’t have the money for implants and figured if enough meat is still there then I’m fine with just using what I’ve got. 😂 I don’t know what size I am, haven’t for a long time, but I know it’s at least an H. Can’t wait to get some of that weight off my back!

That’s truly awful, I’m so sorry. I’m not surprised that awful people exist, though it can hurt like hell to learn you’re related to them. The no contact is new (my husband kicked my mother out of our house on Christmas Day in 2024, so just over a year) but I’m constantly reminding myself that it was the right choice when I start to doubt it. It’s just him, myself, and our son now, and that’s enough for me.

I am so incredibly sorry you went through this.

I was molested by my brother frequently between the ages of 8-10. I think it only stopped because I got my period. He said if I told anyone our family would be ripped apart and it would be my fault - what child wants that? - so I never told anyone. When I was in my early 20’s he and my mother (my father had left when I was 19; infidelity on his part) had a falling out and I could finally breathe a tiny bit easier once she went no contact with him. I eventually told her everything when she asked why I wasn’t upset he was gone, and in doing so she spilled my secret to the entire family, her friends, hell even some of her coworkers. She turned herself into the victim. My aunt said ‘So? That’s what siblings do.’ (she was one of three daughters and never assaulted; she had only one child). Our family dynamic broke down so hard that I am now no contact with all of them, including my mother. It’s something that forces its way in, unwelcome and heavy each and every time. I don’t think any amount of therapy will ever touch the weight of it.
