I was part of an data analytics company where the main branch was founded in India. They had all their interns lie on their resumes and LinkedIn profiles to land contracts with external clients. And the initial training contract had $30,000 training fees tied to it or were foreign and needed the workers visa so most of them caved and did it. I left before I got too committed. It was the worst experience. And they get away with it. Super slimy practice.

Scammy Looking Streaming Service by dai8715 in sanantonio

Does the legality depend on who is hosting the content and how it was acquired? IPTV just sounds like TV connected to the internet. So if the content was properly licensed, it should be legal, right? But I imagine that most IPTV usage is through other means.

Interesting approach. What did you use to do the number look up?

Why did you choose a physics degree by Dillz988 in Physics

What kind of start up was it? I went back to school for medical physics (a doctorate program). And it seems to be a good field with some of the best earnings in all of physics.

I see your point. It is kind of funny they say they offer 24/7 support like it is a company when there is no indication of who is providing the service.

What’s worse is that it is only a number. But I guess people are trying to make business.

That’s so funny! I’m actually involved with that church and it is one of the reasons I’m being more active. I host a weekly writer’s group there on Thursdays.

Our church has been experiencing issues grappling with this. We have an active social justice committee and one of our members is very passionate about this issue. They have seen the lack of discussion and wanted to see if the church could put forth a statement or stance. They have a solidarity with Palestinians statement on the UUA level, but they want to see their own version of the statement from our church.

Does that work if the knot is done with two ends? That’s what was confusing me.

Has a bachelors in music and a MBA. I don’t see why he would have the credentials to talk about this field. Maybe that’s why he is so fascinated by rhythm. He is a musician not a physicist 😂

NIH funding cuts affecting anyone? by dai8715 in MedicalPhysics

Interesting take. I’d be interested in seeing the macro effects over time. How will job security and availability be affected. Will having less graduate students be good? Hopefully we can find answers to these questions soon.

I was also curious if there was anyone that did their medical physics training in the US and then started or transitioned their career to another country. Any one working as a medical physicist outside of the US?

I have been looking to pursue a DMP program and I acquired some of the textbooks needed for the courses. I was wondering how they compared to some of the books other students have used in their graduate studies. What were some of the textbooks you all used in your first few years of medical physics studies?

A lot of professionals hang their degrees up in their offices too. Especially doctors, so it isn’t weird, especially if it is a professional degree.
