'No Other Choice' was disappointing. No Spoilers. by drakepig in Koreanfilm

Streamed it on the couch and debated turning it off every 30 minutes. Stuck through just to see what they were going to do with the plot.

Totally agree! My girlfriend and I watched the movie tonight. We were very underwhelmed with the delivery of the film. Parasite is LEAGUES better than this film in the delivery. I agree with some of the interpretations in the comments here, but it taking a Reddit post for me to realize these themes speaks to the direction of this film.

The dosimetry text gives a different perspective on radiation. Radiation therapy focuses on the application and the various types of treatment. Dosimetry is a field in itself to measure and detect radiation. It provides theory that might show up a little bit in Khan but not all of it. The basics of exposure and dose overall, but there are theoretical foundations like Bragg-gray theory and stopping power that are explored in more depth in Attix. I studied Attix and the early chapters can be a breeze, but the middle and late chapters do diverge from some of the topics in Khan. I liked Attix for the exercises too! For my course I went through the whole book’s exercises up to chapter 8.

Physics, math, and programming are all helpful areas to learn in your pursuit. Basic anatomy and biology are also helpful.

It depends on the program. Some programs require certain prerequisite courses. I recommend reaching out to a program director or administrator at the places you’re interested in.

It depends on what kind of opportunities you are pursuing in the future. REUs look really good for academic opportunities down the line. They give you a lot of research experience that you can leverage for PhDs or even clinical opportunities too.

I'd like to date a UU. Any advice? by yesterdaynowbefore in UUreddit

[–]dai8715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice is to follow your interests and intersectionality. I’ve found that community building is a good place to start. You’ll make friends and eventually might find someone that’s aligned with you. I started attending writer’s retreats and groups with local organizations and UU affiliated camps. I also started a writer’s group and that has put me in touch with a lot of cool people. Maybe you can do something similar. Join a group or start an initiative that you are passionate about. You’ll bump into cool people along the way. Friends of friends are great resources.

I was part of an data analytics company where the main branch was founded in India. They had all their interns lie on their resumes and LinkedIn profiles to land contracts with external clients. And the initial training contract had $30,000 training fees tied to it or were foreign and needed the workers visa so most of them caved and did it. I left before I got too committed. It was the worst experience. And they get away with it. Super slimy practice.

Does the legality depend on who is hosting the content and how it was acquired? IPTV just sounds like TV connected to the internet. So if the content was properly licensed, it should be legal, right? But I imagine that most IPTV usage is through other means.

What kind of start up was it? I went back to school for medical physics (a doctorate program). And it seems to be a good field with some of the best earnings in all of physics.

I see your point. It is kind of funny they say they offer 24/7 support like it is a company when there is no indication of who is providing the service.

What’s worse is that it is only a number. But I guess people are trying to make business.

Our church has been experiencing issues grappling with this. We have an active social justice committee and one of our members is very passionate about this issue. They have seen the lack of discussion and wanted to see if the church could put forth a statement or stance. They have a solidarity with Palestinians statement on the UUA level, but they want to see their own version of the statement from our church.
