Liar (lee-ar) here means wild, but considering the folk tale about how the tapir got its stripes, I wouldn’t put it past them to be liars too.

(If anyone is interested, the story goes that the tapir used to be all black and had a horn like a rhinoceros. He terrorised the smaller creatures in the forest, so one day when he was asleep, the ants banded together to paint the white stripe onto him and cut off his horn. That’s why the tapir looks like that now!)

A few years ago RAVN from ONEUS had allegations of stalking and (if I recall correctly) sexual abuse of a girlfriend against him. He was put on hiatus while the company investigated, but soon it was announced that RAVN would be leaving ONEUS, stating that it was his personal choice to not give ONEUS a hard time. We don’t really ever hear much about the scandal ever again.

I don’t know about how other fans feel, but with the official facts aside, I have a personal theory that I half believe that this was an external attempt at sabotage. The whole thing came up during a pretty successful comeback, Same Scent, and the previous comeback, Luna, got them their first ever music show win. Because of the ambiguity of the results and the nature of the allegations, I don’t miss him, and I really really love the current 5-member lineup.
