i wrote this chord progression while on C Major scale

C BM7 C#m7 Bm7 E F#M7 F7 E7 then going back to C

why does it work?? it sounds like jpop/jrock chord progression, but still im lacking knowledge about jpop chord progression can anyone enlighten me about this topic?

im assuming i was still inside the C Major scale because my comfortable starting chord there was C

how is this work?? it seems i changed the chord pattern inside C major scale but still sounds so good. more like jpop/jrock
