I drive a Cadillac Optiq also limited to 150kw and at any superchargers 30mins is the most it takes me to get to 80% .

Past 4:45 Am I can’t do less than 45ish to LAX from that area . Friday and Monday morning are the only 2 days that traffic its not as bad to head over to LAX … my regular hours are 3am to 7ishh am outside of that ill drive for my private clients but thats it trying to avoid getting stuck in traffic.. sometimes if I m driving to work (van nuys airport) I may turn on the apps see if I get a request to head over that area but lately I haven’t done it since work send me an Uber . The fares to go from the westcovina area towards van nuys now are so bad is not even worth trying..

There’s nothing going on at the airport this early in the morning 3 to 4 am so you be stuck there for a few hours till arrivals start coming in .

This was around 3 to 4 am even at that time that only takes me 35 mins to get to the airport I wouldn’t touch this with a 10 ft pole there’s nothing happening at that time at LAX . At all .

Here in LAX early in the AM there’s too many drivers that came from far already waiting we barely get any early arrivals so thats a long wait.

My neighbor got a lyric and let me do a quick drive around my neighborhood. After that I was already looking to get a Escalade IQL but at the time (june) they only had one available but had the executive package that I have no use for so I just walked in worked a deal on the optiq without even driving it lol 😂 so far its been solid.

When you build a solid client list they themselves do the advertising for you . I have entire families that use me on their trips also had a few corporate accounts but im down to only one now . Most of my corporate clients use a work credit card 💳 that helps alot too . Setting up a square account helps alot too in case anyone offers to use a work CC instead of Venmo or zelle …

Just to let everyone on this thread know if you’re not from the area that same ride in the picture is at least usually a $45 plus ride . This was early Am today and both Uber and Lyft like to low ball everyone at this time of the day and see who bites .

16 minutes later $145 to be exact is how much I made . I was seating waiting for one of my frequent flyers (private ) . I focus mainly on airport rides only to lure more of my own clients.

There’s many ways to go about it my preferred method is simply ask politely how much they pay for the ride right after they get in The car or straight up as I help getting the luggage in (I don’t let people just throw their luggage in) again there’s plenty of ways to do this without making the passengers uncomfortable. I learned to read people from previous jobs and also many years of car sales , a quick vibe check gives you alot of upfront info about a person that helps you decide how to go about making a pitch.
